so i have been very inactive on wp for a while and the main reason why is because i've been working on these little beauties for a while and i am so happy to FINALLY be able to share them with you all. i hope you like them as much as i loved making them! also please excuse the bad photo quality!

hey val! gosh this beauty took me FOREVER to finish (for context, i started this around november-december of last year). at first, i was hoping for this to be very high school-middle school diary but mature with a touch of ariana grande's thank u next era (the original cover was supposed to be the burn book from mean girls). but then i just woke up one day and decided, "no. i don't like this. i will redo this entire graphic despite working on it for about two months."

so, i completely scrapped that idea however, i still wanted to use ariana as inspiration (as you can see with the upside down cover and the paintings in the booklet). when i was making this new cover, i was getting a lot of shakespearean, renaissance, roman goddess vibes so i decided to incorporate that into the final product. i was imagining that if eden had made music, it would be very victoria monté ariana grande-esque, specifically during the sweetener era. i also feel like it would be a concept album about a woman telling the story of how she fell in love but messed it up and is trying to fix it while also trying to find herself. there would be a snake, apple, and dove symbols sprinkled throughout the album. it would be the album of the century.

i hope that all of these thoughts and ideas articulates well into it and i hope that you like this as much as i loved creating it!

hey corinne! at first, i was planning for this to be in a very modern, contemporary, sort of alternative style but then as i started to really get into it and got my creative juices flowing, it just didn't click for me

hey corinne! at first, i was planning for this to be in a very modern, contemporary, sort of alternative style but then as i started to really get into it and got my creative juices flowing, it just didn't click for me. i tried out a few different covers and came up with different versions but none of them felt right and hated how all of them turned out. so, i scrapped that idea and decided to go at it from a different approach.

around that time, i was really into billie eilish's your power and i saw this amazing album concept this guy (Diego Stedile) did on behance for chemtrails over the country club and i decided to use those two as the main inspo (as controversial as they (billie&lana) are atm) for the new concept of this revamped version. it's a lot more low-key and mellow than i would have liked but i have to say that i was MUCH happier with this version than the last.

however, i still wanted to be extra and went all out with this revamped version: the singles stickers, the drawn crow in the back, and especially with the little booklet that comes with it (still wanted to somewhat give it this storybook look and i even wrote a foreword where lev tells the listeners all about the album, the creative process and everything). i also did something a little different with this one and decided to create an actual album with original songs and everything rather than a mockup album with songs on the story's spotify playlist like the other one. i pictured this to be a folk, indie, alternative album, with a touch of country influences. lots of acoustic ballads, very folklore, novo amor, aurora, mazzy star-esque. its absolutely beautiful and makes everyone cry.

i am aware that you are no longer writing for this story anymore but i hope that you like this graphic as much as i loved making it!
