Oliver sat outside in the courtyard, buried in some books. He was focused on studying. Marcus, from a safe distance, admired Oliver. He watched as Oliver blinked or bit his bottom when he got invested even more. Marcus casually slid beside Oliver, patting the empty space between the two, "Mind if I sit?"

Oliver looked up at him, "Not if you don't plan on bothering" he smiled.

"That won't be a problem unless you find my presence a distraction" Marcus smirked as he not so subtly wiggled his eyebrows.

"Ugh, whatever" Oliver reimmersed himself in his books. Marcus placed one of his books onto his lap, beginning to read it.

As they completed their assignments, Marcus stole glances at Oliver. Unknowingly, Oliver kept glancing back at him every couple of minutes.

"Uh, hey Oliver...do you know how to do this?"

"Ooo little Slytherin Prince doesn't know, eh?" Oliver playfully poked Marcus.

Marcus rolled his eyes, "Oh, sod off! Help me, will ya?" Oliver nodded, scooting closer to Marcus and closing the gap between them. "Let me see then" Marcus brought the book closer, pointing to what he didn't understand.

As Oliver explained, Marcus couldn't help but not pay attention to his words as he was too busy staring at the handsome quidditch player. The way his eyelashes batted when he blinked was surprisingly delicate. Marcus swore he could get lost in those beautiful eyes of Oliver's.

"Do you get it now?" Oliver's voice brought Marcus back from his trance. "Uh, what? Oh, uh yea! Yes, thank you"

"Okaayy?" Oliver looked at Marcus questioningly, chuckling lightly.

The once sunny afternoon began to turn dark, it was near nighttime and after hours of doing assignments, talking, and studying, their time had come to an end.

"Well, its getting dark, I should head back" Oliver said first. Marcus tried to hide his disappointed face, he wanted to admire Oliver and spend more time with him, he didn't want the day to end.

"Ah, okay.. I should head back too" The boys both packed their stuff, walking to their respective dorms.

Marcus smiled.

Oliver smiled.
