I got out of the downtown area as fast as I could and speed walked to school.
As I walked into my first class I accidentally bumped into a tall blonde girl.
"Watch where you're walking," the girl said with a disgusted look on her face.
"I'm sorry," I mumble an apology and take a seat at a desk in the back.
I pull out my phone and pretend to be busy.
"That's Bri, she's a bitch," I turn to the girl on my left and realize she's talking to me. "You must be new here, I don't think I've seen you before."
"Yeah, just moved," I say back.
"I'm Sky," she holds her hand out to me.
"Chloe," I say as I shake her hand.
"Can I see your phone?" she asks.
"Sure..." I hand her my phone.
Sky quickly types her number into my phone, "There, we are officially friends now," she smiles at me.
I smile back not knowing what to say.
"Some friends of mine and I are going to a club tonight, it'd be cool if you came, I could introduce you to some people." She says as she hands me my phone back.
"Umm, I'm not twenty one yet..." I say like it's obvious.
"They don't care at this club," she says with a wink.
"I doubt I can, probably will have homework, but thanks for the offer."
Our conversation is cut short by the teacher walking into the room.
The rest of the day went by fast, I really didn't pay attention in class because I was too busy replaying what had happened earlier in the alley in my mind.
On the way back home I decide to take a different route home to avoid any chance of running into those guys again.
As I open the front door to my house I am greeted by the familiar sound of my parents arguing.
"It's not my fault!" I hear my mom scream.
I tiptoe to my bedroom as to not draw their attention.
I set my backpack down on my bed and walk to the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and sigh.
I look terrible.
I quickly put my hair up and take my makeup off.
As I'm walking back to my bed my door opens and Elyssa comes in tears in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" I say as I stand and hug her.
"Why do they always do this?" She sobs into my shirt, referring to our parents.
"I don't know Lyss," I hug her tighter as I hear something breaking in the kitchen. "You should take a nap," I say and walk her to her bed.
She lies down and I sit on my bed and start on my homework.
I put earbuds in to drown out the sound of the screams in the next room.
I look over at my sister who is already asleep. Poor baby...
I glance out the window and back at my books.
wait... was that?
I look back out the window and lock eyes with the blue eyed boy from earlier.
What the fuck?
It's him. The guy named 'Lou' was standing on the sidewalk outside my house.
shit.
I quickly get up and close my curtains.
I peek back out the window.
He's gone.
I start panicking. What am I supposed to do now?
