" so?" was the first thing soobin said after they're all seated comfortably on the couch, some noises coming from the television that was left opened. Long strong short, taehyun invites all four of his friends to come over for any movie's marathon since he's alone at home as of now. but things happened and it turned out only soobin made it— he's basically stuck with soobin. There's only two of them right now.

" what?" taehyun asked back, seems to be utterly confused.

soobin lets out a sigh, " that tutoring things"

and oh, he should've expected that kind of question knowing how inquisitive his friends are.

" what happened? any progress?" soobin throws question once again.

" just...the usual. nothing much happened." taehyun wasn't intending for his words to sound so pathetic right now — just as if he's wishing for something good to happen instead of the boring tutoring session that he ended up getting ignored.

" tell me all about it." soobin being soobin, getting noisy. he straightened up his body, ready to listen to everything that will come out of taehyun's mouth next.

there is no use of refusing, he knows soobin won't let him off just like that. rather than getting pestered by soobin for the next hours, he'd just surrender instead.

taehyun nods his head, eventually agreeing. " alright, if yo want to know so bad."

soobin's face lit up. " go on." he reassured, comforting enough.

" it doesn't really go well? I'm just glad I survived though." he chuckles, shrugging. " well, you guys were right. It wasn't easy, and she surely despise me to the bone."

" taehyun," a low sigh was released from soobin. . " won't you stop? I know you like her but even you know how she is, right? "

" no, I won't stop okay? I don't think I need to." he smiled, getting soobin at the peak of confusion.

" you really won't?"

" yes."

" you sure?"

" very very sure. trust me, soobin. I know something's off about her from the very first moment I saw her. I need to know why, I need to befriended her. I think she has her own reasons., we can't be quick to judge her."

and soobin immediately knows that there's nothing else left for him to do to stop taehyun. It's not easy to get taehyun to change his mind. soobin just nods, giving small pats on the younger's shoulder.

" okay, fine. I won't budge you anymore. Just make sure none of this will hurt you, understand?" soobin has always been caring, and taehyun knows it very well.

" yes, thank you for being so understanding."

" anytime, taehyun. Anytime."

and that's why taehyun knows how much he can rely on soobin. soobin wasn't just a friend at this point, he's a brother. maybe they have known each other at the span of two months only, but it's enough for them to get so close and know so much about each other.

" and taehyun?" soobin calls, stopping taehyun from whatever shit he's into right now.

" yeah?"

" don't forget to take you medicine." he said, rather sound like an order instead.

taehyun rolls his eyes, " I know okay? I've never skip any as of now."

y/n lets out a small groan as she lets her feet landed on the hard ground, careful from making any sound. It's a luck that she didn't get injured.

It's literally 1 a.m. in the morning.

and she's been struggling to sneak out from the bungalow in the quietest way possible. this wasn't the first time, and maybe luck is one her side because she has never once get caught. well, if she did maybe she'll not be able to see the sunlight anymore.

even though her parents are across the country right now, y/n knows they always asked the maids and guards to get their eyes on her. there is almost no way for her to escape.

she assumed everyone's sleeping right now. well except the guards of course. she needs to find way to get out without anyone noticing. but maybe, just maybe she's really the universe's favourite because she just witnessed a sight of the guards dozing off, unaware of her presence there. she smiles in satisfaction, finding her way getting easier.

being as careful as she can, she immediately run through the fence and leave in a speed of lightning. heaving a sigh of relief, her face lit up into a small grin. And without wasting any more time, she instantly heading to somewhere — somewhere that holds a very special place in her heart.

It's a go-to place that always bring comfort to her. A place that witnessed every side of her.

maybe it was late and dark at night, but it doesn't stop her from going there. she's in need of fresh air after all those exhausting studies she did because once again, she stayed up late just to finish the last chapter of her study. she's almost unable to focus, probably because of how tiring she was.

ten minutes of walking along the dark, cold street was worth it. she arrives at the said place.

It's a park. but that wasn't where she planned to go.

she walks further inside, going to the other side of the park where all she can see is right now are big bushes. making sure no one's there with her, she immediately goes inside the thick bushes until her eyes caught a glimpse of breath-taking scenery that she's been longing for.

" finally." she lets out an exhausting sigh, staring the place in awe. no matter how much time she gets there, this sigh will never not amaze her. It's a pretty place. a place where she can see all the shining stars clearly and the whole city from above. It has always been her favourite place since day one getting her.

she lays flat on the ground, eyeing the stars that lit up beautifully on the sky. witnessing everything today made her forget all the problems and frustrations that she's been holding. she feels like she's free again. and y/n's lucky because she's sure no one else knows about the existence of this place but her.

as she was busy relaxing, a certain someone abruptly occupying her mind. y/n's unable to hold back her tears, she feels like her sight turning blurry.

"cherry.." the nickname slips out from her mouth out of realization. and suddenly all those beautiful yet bitter memories playing on her head like a flashback.

" why did you leave? are you not going to come back after all the promise we made?"
