George's POV

The way Sapnap, Karl and I were eyeing the staircase you would think a girl was gonna come down in a sparkly dress ready for prom.

But it was just Dream, stomping around with his heavy feet and slumped shoulders.

"Morning sleepy beauty." Sapnap scoffed at his brother.

"Mhm" he hummed blinking a few times to adjust to the lighting.

He finally looked at me and I scanned his eyes. There wasn't any hurt, anger or betrayal like I expected, they were just... empty.

"Hello, Dream" I forced a smile

"George" he stated with a groggy voice "welcome back"

I caught Karl smiling at our interaction since everyone knew we left on bad terms after going at each others neck throughout the whole of last year of school. Me and Karl walked of and started to prepare dinner since Quackity and Wilbur were on there way.

"That was better than expected" Karl smiled.

Me and Dream are the only two that know what really happened between us. We grew up of the same street and we were always best friends until puberty hit us and I felt like I was constantly competing with him. No matter what, we always had to one up eachother.

There is more to the story but my thoughts were interrupted as I accidentally cut myself with a knife.

(Time slip to dinner)

Quackity and Wilbur made a grand appearance in the doorway as they both ran towards me.

"Jeez Gogy! when did you get this sexy!" Quackity giggles while hugging me.

"Is dinner ready." George walked down holding his beer bottle.

"Yh thanks for the help" Karl rolled her eyes.

I walked towards the kitchen to fill my cup unaware that he was also there.

"I gotta say I'm surprised you came" Dream stated.

"You're the second person to say that" I nervously smiled.

"Yh because you left so quickly the first time." He narrowed his eyes at me "like you were running away from something, maybe guilt."

I opened my mouth but no words left my mouth. He definitely hasn't forgotten, my heart started beating faster as I walked by him remembering how I ruined his life.
