"I THINK YOU NEED THERAPY," Hannah yelled from her space on her couch, her body turned so that she was looking over the couch at her best friend in the kitchen area of her home. "Why are you making coffee at night?"

"I want to be awake to call Seb, that's all," Riley replied with the shrug of her shoulders, picking up her mug of her freshly made caffeinated drink. She turned to face her three friends sat in the lounge area, Sebastian and Chris huddled over Hannah's laptop as they tried to pick what to watch, their backs to her. Hannah was still facing her with raised brows, shaking her head before joked.

"This is why I could never fall in love," she muttered, Riley rolling her eyes in response and making her way over to her friends. "You're really losing sleep for a man, no less. A man."

"People do silly things when they're in love, Han," Sebastian voiced from his space at the laptop. Both he and Chris were seated on the floor, Hannah's laptop resting on the coffee table in front of them. That very coffee table also housed the junk food they ordered and the projector they had set up for their movie. Riley joined them at the couch, taking a seat next to her best friend, while Sebastian took his space on Hannah's otherside. Chris opted to take a seat on the floor, mumbling under his breath about how Hannah should have more than just one three seater couch if she was going to invite friends over.

"Are you sure he's even going to call?" Hannah asked, ignoring his complaints and getting comfortable on the couch as everyone else readied themselves for whatever movie Seb and Chris had decided on. "He never calls you on the first night that he travels out."

"You never know, he might this time, I'm his fiancé now." She defended him, turning her head to face the guys in the room after her statement was met with silence. Don't tell me you agree with her?"

"Well, he doesn't have a good record of contacting you, so." Seb mumbled, avoiding Riley's shocked gaze.

"I mean, neither of them are wrong," Chris voiced, turning his face to Riley with a comforting smile before she said anything else. "But,that doesn't mean that he might not call you today. Like you said, you're his fiancé now. I just think maybe you should put the coffee down." He held a hand out and other a defeated sigh, Riley handed the mug to him.

"See," Riley leaned back, bringing her legs up onto the couch and leaning against Hannah. "That's how you're supposed to respond to your friend."

"Oh please, we just balance each other out. How will you get all perspectives if you're only hearing what you went to hear?" Hannah joked, clapping her hands together to commerce their activity for the evening. " Right, Chris, you're in charge of starting the movie seeing as you're on the floor this time."

It wasn't until 40 minutes into the movie that Riley had fallen asleep, resting peacefully against her friend whilst the other three enjoyed the contemporary film projected onto the wall of Hannah's living room. They had decided to let the woman sleep on the couch rather than wake her, after Chris let them know that she had barely slept the night before helping her fiancé with last minute packing. They all decided to sleep in the living room with her so that when she woke, she wouldn't be alone.

As she was the first to sleep, she was also the first to wake up, glad nobody was awake to witness her embarrassed state as she sat up and wiped drool from her mouth. Before she could think to do anything else she reckoned for her phone in the pocket of her wide legged pants.

Sorry for not calling last night..
You know how crazy it con be when travelling
I hope you slept well.
Also I left some work on my personal laptop😅, please send it over when you can.
I'll call you so you don't accidentally send me something else.
Love you x

" Of course you did." she muttered to herself, getting to her feet and trying her best to avoid stepping on the limbs of her friends sprawled across the floor as she made her way to the bathroom. "I will have to leave you guys." She announced quietly to the sleeping bodies behind her. She barely made it into the bathroom before she started dialling the number of her fiancé.
