Olive POV:

I am now ten. Still very upset with my family. I found food. Raw fish from a lake. It's disgusting but all I can find. I went on my second walk to get food for lunch. I was running so fast everything seemed like a blur. Until I hit something. I fell back and I hit a tree very hard. I opened my etyes and in front of me was another little girl that looked about my age. She reached down and helped me up. She said weakly, "my name is Sofia. My parents left me here." I said, "I'm Olive. My parents left me here 6 years ago."

That made her eyes widen. She said, suprise in her voice, "what did you eat for 6 years out here in the woods??" I laughed and said, " raw fish from the lake." At that she got a disgusted look on her face. I laughed again and told her why I was running so fast toward the lake.

Sofia POV:

Olive seemed like a nice girl and she said she had shelter so I helped her get fish from the lake and lived with her so she wasn't lonely. I had fun with her when we stayed up all night and made jokes. It felt like I was back home with my best friend Brook. I've acually only been in the woods for two days when a person drove up, in a Chevy, to where our tent was. It was about midnight and I was scared. I whispered to Olive, "does someone always come up here?" She shook her head and we tried to be as quiet as mice.

The guy drove all the way up to our tent. We were so glad that the tent was zippered or he would've seen us.

Olive POV:

I was so scared I could've screamed but I covered my mouth with my hand. When the figure got out of the car I realized that he was very small. I moved over to the zipper and Sofia grabbed my arm. I put my finger up to my lips. And opened the tent. Standing there, was a boy, not much older than me. I said, "hello?"

My voice startled him and he jumped back. Sofia came over to the opening and smiled at him. He finally said, "my name is Russel." I looked at Sofia and whispered in her ear,"can I tell him our names?" and she nodded very hard. I looked back at Russel and said,"my name is Olive and my parents left me here 6 years ago and this is Sofia and her parents left her here 2 days ago." To that Russel's eyes went wide. He jumped back in the truck and drove off.

Sofia said,"that was rude." I thought the same thing. It was pretty rude to just drive off when you're only a kid that can't even drive. I zipped the tent back up and we went to sleep.
