Sofia POV:
The next morning, like always, I had to wake Olive up. After a little bit of shaking her she opened her eyes sleepily. I said cheerfully, "good morning!" She sat up and asked, "what time is it?" "how would I know?" I replied with a laugh. She stood up and stretched. I did the same. We walked out of the tent and looked around.
Olive POV:
After we got out of the tent we headed toward the lake. We were making jokes and laughing until I saw something up ahead. I stopped and grabbed Sofia's arm. From the distance we saw something moving toward us. As it got closer I knew what it was. A tiger. Walking faster, now. Walking right at us. Baring it's sharp yellow teeth. Ready to attack.
I noticed that Sofia was going to run and whispered, "don't run or it will attack. It knows if you are afraid." Sofia complained quietly, "but it will get too close if we don't run."
At first she didn't notice, but I started walking forward. I whispered, "if it thinks we are not scared I don't think it will attack. Just walk past it." As we walked the tiger looked at us but walked the other way. When we got to the lake I said, "see?" Sofia wasn't paying attention to me she was pionting to all of the cooked fish lying in front of the lake. At first I didn't notice them but when I did, my eyes went wide.
Sofia POV:
When we got over to the fish, we found a note. Olive read the note out loud, "I hope this is enough food for at least a week because I'm not roasting more fish until next week, your friend Russel." "That was so sweet!" I said cheerfully.
When we finally got all the fish back to the tent we had a delicious breakfast. We went on another walk and saw the tiger, again!! I knew what to do but the tiger made me jump. It came right out of the woods and onto the track right when we were going by. Olive even jumped back but she got brave only a second later. We went back to the lake and rolled up our pants and took off our shoes and socks. We put our feet in the water and it was the most refreshing feeling since I've been there. We were at the lake for the rest of the day and when it was dark we went back to the tent to sleep. We saw the shadow of a tiger through the tent, the low growl didn't sound very friendly, but it made Olive and I go to sleep faster. I don't know how, but it did
