B4 we start i changed up how gwen actually died in the comics/movies, i'm gonna make it something along the lines as she "jumped" but not due to su**ide (however that info wasn't released to the public, which is why they tell her she "jumped") but due to another threat that she'd just be better off dying then going with them. idk what this threat will be yet but that's tbd ig

"Spider-Gwen?" Tony Stan raised his eyebrows, almost in amusement.

"It Ghost Spider... Spiderwoman. Just whatever I'm feeling."

"You seem too damn chill-" he removed his glasses and stared into her masked eyes, "You from here?"

"I guess you can say that... yeah."

"Look kid, I don't know who you are but I'm gonna call your parents. What're their numbers?"

"You can't do that. It won't work."

"Start talking or we remove the mask."

"Go ahead, take it off. What's gonna happen? You're gonna put me on national television and make a big deal?"

"Gladly," the Black Widow jumped in, growing impatient to the girl's games. She arose from her chair and outstretched her arm, tugging at the mask as the hood began to fall, mask with it.

But what they weren't expecting was to see the girl from the George Washington Bridge. The girl who accepted her fate, jumped to her death. Asked for a death wish.

"Am I hallucinating or something?" Hawkeye asked, rubbing his eyes and taking another sip of his coffee.

"No... you- you guys are seeing this too?" Dr. Banner said, almost in awe.

"She survived... but how?" Rogers asked.

Gwen was just as confused as everyone else, trying to understand their side conversation, "Survived what?"

They then looked at her like she was stupid.

"Gwen. Gwen Stacy, right?" Tony asked.

"Yeah..." she nodded.

"You committed suicide. 6 months ago tomorrow."

Her eyes widened, "...What?"

*
"Before me lies a tombstone... newly-carved... icy cold... and carved upon it is... my name..." The girl's voice trailed, confused but mostly creeped.

Her company only nodded in sorrow almost, but also troubled by the reoccurring question of how this happened.

"Where've you been all these months?" Natasha asked.

"I... don't know." she replied, debating if she should tell them she's from a different dimensions or not.

"What's the last you remember?"

"Waking up on a rooftop."

"Where?" Clint pressed, taking over.

"Here. Just earlier- I mean, near the bridge." she replied.

More glances were exchanged.

"Should we take her to meet him?" Steve finally asked.

"How do you think he'll feel after that?" Tony replied, troubled.

"Who?" Gwen asked.

"No-one," Dr. Banner replied, ending the conversation then and there as Gwen studied her tombstone furthermore.

She then knelt down, hesitant to touch but finally picked up one of the flowers from the fresh bouquet, that had seemingly been re-delivered frequently.

The girl did nothing but simply smell it, taking in the sent as she closed her eyes and let it fall through her fingers, watching it bury down with the rest of the flowers.

"I don't get it." She finally said, playing dumb as if she didn't already know she was in a parallel universe, "I'm... —I'm supposed to be dead, but it's like I..." her voice trailed, thoughts left unfinished.

"Like you were put in a coma." Thor finished.

"Yeah. Kinda."

There was an even longer silence. A silence she hadn't experienced in awhile. It wasn't awkward or unsettling. No, not uncomfortable either. Just a moment to regather spiraling thoughts and different outcomes.

"My brain hurts." Nat broke.

"Mine does too... let's go home." Clint sighed.
