"Barış," she whispered, "will you take me upstairs? I don't want to wait anymore. I want to be yours now."

He froze, his face still buried in her neck. He breathed in her intoxicating jasmine scent. What she was asking him was too tempting to refuse. He looked up at her, his hand caressing the side of her face. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure." She stood up from his lap and held her hand out to him. He took it and she pulled him up. "I've never been more sure."

Barış and Zeynep walked toward the house, both of them taking nervous peeks at each other. As they climbed the stairs out of the pool, at the same time, they instinctively moved their palms against each other so their hands lined up and they laced fingers. Zeynep looked up at him and grinned, and he smiled back at her, acknowledging their synchronicity. She'd never experienced anything like what she had with Barış; they were so in tune with each other, there was never a time when she reached out her hand to look for his that he wasn't already there, looking for hers, too.

She glanced sideways at him and shook her head thinking about the events of the day. She couldn't believe he'd spent all day torturing himself because he'd overheard half a conversation, and that he was mad at her and ready to give her up before even trying to get an explanation from her. And meanwhile, she'd spent all day worried out of her mind. She reached across her body with her free hand and squeezed his arm. "You listened outside my door all secretively and gave me the cold shoulder all day because of what you thought you heard." She scolded him, and he looked properly reprimanded. She took one look at his regretful puppy eyes and she stopped to grab his face and kiss his cheek.

"Really, I'm sorry, Zeynep. I should have talked to you." He brought her hand to his mouth and kissed it.

She smiled at him. "I guess I forgive you." His face still looked sad and she laughed. "Don't apologize and don't be upset. Just love me forever."

His face lit up, his eyes widening and his eyebrows shooting up, and he held the back of her head and kissed her soundly on the mouth. "Forever," he said before kissing her again. The way he looked at her when he pulled back made the butterflies that were always there when she was with him dive bomb against her insides. She felt the heat rise in her cheeks and suddenly she wanted nothing more than to have him completely. As if he could read her mind, he took her hand back in his. "Come with me." He continued toward the house, pulling her behind him in his enthusiasm to get to his bedroom.

Zeynep laughed, jogging to match his stride. "Slow down, Barış! I can't keep up with you."

He stopped and turned toward her, and before she knew it, he had thrown her over her shoulder and kept walking. "Barış!" She blew her hair out of her face and braced her hands on his back so she wasn't hanging upside down. "Someone will see us!" she said in a loud whisper. But she couldn't help it--she laughed, a sound of pure joy. She'd never been happier or more excited in her life.

He started climbing the stairs, easily bearing her weight. "Let them see. I want to shout out to the world that I'm in love with you and you're mine." He smacked her rear and she yelped. He smiled. "I've been wanting to do that forever."

Zeynep blushed bright red. "Barış, aşk olsun!" She tried to sound serious, but failed.

He arrived at the top of the stairs and headed to his bedroom. "I'm sorry, sevgilim. I couldn't help myself. You're so tempting...you don't know how hard it's been to keep my hands to myself all this time." He knew she wasn't really mad at him, but he apologized anyway to see what she would say.
