Author's Note: I really felt like the pool scene was a missed opportunity for Baris to open up to Zeynep about the trauma he carries with him, so I wrote my own version. Zeynep finds him in my version, not Nuh (because Nuh talking to him about all this doesn't even make sense!).

Also, a HUGE thank you to my co-scenarist, @louisababs19 for the idea of baby Baris fading into Zeynep and for being my sounding board!

Running, No Doubt, 2001

Run, Running all the time

Running to the future

With you right by my side

Me, I'm the one you chose

Out of all the people

You wanted me the most

And I'm so sorry that I've fallen

Help me up, let's keep on running

Don't let me fall out of love

Running Running as fast as we can

Do you think we'll make it

(Do you think we'll make it)

Running, keep holding my hand

So we don't get separated

Be, Be the one I need

Be the one I trust most

Don't stop inspiring me

Sometimes it's hard to keep on running

We work so hard to keep it going

Don't make me want to give up

Running Running as fast as we can

Do you think we'll make it

(Do you think we'll make it)

Running, keep holding my hand

So we don't get separated

Zeynep was driving, but she didn't know where she was going. She was worried. Barış had left without telling her where he was going and she hadn't been able to get in touch with him all day. This wasn't like him at all.

Her conversation with Nesrin had made everything even clearer to her; she knew she was in love with him, she knew she never wanted to be without him again, she knew her life was so much better because he was in it. Saying it out loud to someone, trying to explain where she had come from and where she was now to someone who didn't know what she'd been through--it gave her much-needed perspective and just made her that much more sure that Barış was the true love of her life. He was her soulmate. She was so happy every time she thought about him that she couldn't stop herself from smiling.

She was hoping they could continue their conversation where they'd left off--she was excited to show him the houses she'd found. She wanted to surprise him. She wanted him to know that she couldn't wait to live with him and make a home with him.

But she couldn't find him. She'd called Savaş, Ali Riza, and Nuh, and none of them had heard from him--but Nuh had told her that he had Barış's car and he hadn't called to ask for a ride anywhere.

After exhausting all of her options and calling and texting him a hundred times and not getting an answer, she decided to head to his house. She couldn't just sit still and wait. She knew something wasn't right. She could feel it.
