Louise and her brother had a silent agreement that they wouldn't tell Lucy where she had spent the previous night. Apparently, Louise had slept over at her "friend" Olive's house. Did she even know an Olive? Louise didn't think so.

After grabbing the specific book she wanted, Louise scampered up the stairs to the familiar scenery of her room. Plopping down onto her pink beanbag, she began to read - only to soon fall asleep.

During her slumber, she dreamt vividly of playing a game with four other teens (Louise thought she recognized one of them, but in her dream she was unable to make the connection) under the starry night sky. What game, exactly, she couldn't decipher. To her it just looked like one big, unorganized mess.

But apparently it was fun because all of them were having a good laugh over something. Suddenly, Dream-Louise got up and began walking over to the railing. She stripped off her pants and stepped up to the ledge, readying herself to jump.

And then it happened; she was free-falling through the dark night.

Louise awoke in a panic, clutching Agatha Christie's novel to her chest. Though she was only thinking one thing.

Floyd.

a/n: so this is the last chapter!! idk about you, I thought it was a pretty cool ending.

but I also wrote an epilogue, so comment if you want that!! I need your opinion on this! I'm not sure if I like the epilogue, but I thought it was clever and pretty sly [but that could just be me; it probably is]

btw, if you didn't catch it, the book she was reading was Floyd's favorite ;)

thank you guys so much for getting this to #84 in short story!!! I love all of you <3
