Eliana POV:

*One week later*

Nothing really interesting happened last week. I finished reading a book about poetry, played the piano and since it has got warmer  again I went for a ride on my horse.

I thought today is going to be one of those  boring days too, but I was wrong. Mother told me, we  are  going  to have guests, so now Anna and I are standing  in  my walk-in closet, looking for something  appropriate for me to wear today. I decided to go with a basic cute baby-blue dress that goes to my knees, a white lace corset over it and some white sandals with heels.

I don't know who our guests will be, so I suppose it won't be that important, thus I'll  probably just have to be present as some sort of formality.  I already see myself just sitting there, bored like hell.

Our visitors arrive at 3pm at our palace and are greeted by two of our guards. Meanwhile I'm  waiting in the throne room, sat on the left side of my mother. I wait, kind of excited to see who will step through the big entrance in a few moments.

The doors open and a guard announces our guests:"King Alexander and Prince Mattheo of Beliia.".

I can feel something twist in my stomach and my excitment turns into fear. However, I wonder what sort of business is planned. My parents talk to the king, Mattheo and I are just looking at each other without exchanging one word. His green eyes pierces through me soul. We are making a staring contest now, whoever looks away first, they lose. I might lose any second now.

"Eliana my dear, would you mind leaving the king and us alone for some time and wait outside with the prince. You will be informed  when to come back inside, we have to discuss this without the two of you at first." I'm confused and I'm able to see Mattheo's confusion to. I force a smile on my face, nod, and without further questions and hesitation I bow to the king and leave the room together with Mattheo.

We take a seat on a small couch and sit there for what seems like hours in silence. Mattheo's looking straight at the wall infront us, not moving a single muscle, not speaking a single word.

His face is cold with his significant face structure, his jawline looking so sharp like it could cut right through the felsh of my skin. His ash black hair with its tight curls falling into his face. His muscular frame sitting on the chair relaxed.

"Are you done starring, princess?", he questions, clearly annoyed and his full lips pressing into a thin line. "I wasn't starring", i state camly. "No of course not,", he lets out a light huff, "I'm sure you weren't staring at my defined body and my awesomely good looking face."

I decide to change the topic, to not embarassm me any more.

"Do you know why you are here and what's all this about?", I question him, eager to know his answer. But all I  get is a cold 'no' from him. After a few moments he says "The  only thing my father told me  was we were going to visit your family for something important and I should pack some things for a few days". YOU ARE GOING TO STAY HERE OVER NIGHT?!", it wasn't really a question since I know the answer, but still, I am shocked, my bones shaking.

"Relax, princess, it's not like we're going to be staying in the same room, let alone in the same bed.", he states with a hint of annoyance in his voice. I tell him that, that's not I'm worrying about. I just can't comprehend WHAT THE HELL my parents have planned that the Garnies have to stay here for days.

He turns to look directly into my eyes, "Look, I don't want to waste my time here either, but  there's nothing  we can do about  it", he pauses and starts smirking, "I guess we are going to get  know each other better than, don't we?" I let out a sarcastic laugh, "Who says I'm going to do something with you?" "Oh oh no, you'll see, you won't be able to get away from me that easiliy, princess."

I want to snap back, but a guard enters the room and tells us that our parents are waiting for us. We proceed to them, again silence, that felt so loud, between us.

As we enter the throne room father points to two stools next to a couch and asks us to take a seat. We do as we're  told  and wait for him to finally start  explaining everything to us.

"We have an announcement  to make. Eliana, please listen to everything we have to say before you react." Now I don't have a good feeling about this.

"Prince Mattheo, Princess Eliana", he  looks at Mattheo, then at me, "you're going to marry."  "WHAT THE HELL-", I start to shout but get interrupted by father.  "Now what did I tell you?"

I try to  calm  down and  keep my nerves together,  which is not that easy to do, and take a look at Mattheo. His  expression is cold, holding no emotion.

"Now, let me explain", my father continues, "many civillians out of  all kingdoms  have formed some  sort of alliance and want to take down the monarchy. We've known  this for a long time now, but they're starting to get more and more powerful everyday, thus we figured we should finally do something to stop this  before  it's getting any worse.", he explains.

I knew that not everybody was satisfied with living in a monarchy but I didn't think there were SO many people.

"We discussed every possible thing we could do to  set  this to an end, the best and most efficient outcome being forming an alliance between our two kingdoms. We are going to gain  more respect and be able to make the protestans back away.", my  fathers says. Then the king of Beliia goes on,"King Henry doesn't want to involve any sort of violence, hence  we  figured this would  be the most sensible decision and since we both are satisfied with that."

"WHAT ABOUT US? WHAT IF WE ARE NOT AGREEING WITH THIS?", I say, my voice echoing  through the  whole enormous room. "I DON'T WANT TO BE FORCED TO SPEND MY LIFE WITH THIS-"

"I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO  SPEAK TO ME  LIKE THAT, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?", Alexander shouts at me, narrowing his  eyes, flinching. I see my father getting really really angry. I can't remember the last time I've seen him this angry. I decide to storm out of the room, away from those people forcing me to marry somebody I despise.

I can hear father commanding me to come back right now, but I elect to ignore it and head straight to my room.
