"Where's Lena?" You asked hoping to somewhat fix what you had caused although Kara would've hated you more if Lena got shot so by that logic this couldn't be all bad.

Well that wasn't the case and it seemed like the anger wasn't stopping anytime soon. It continues to bubble over the pot. You had never expected the Luthor to react so viciously.

You threw your bag under your desk waiting for James to reply "She left me in charge is everything okay?" He asked clearly worried by the sad look you were holding on to.

You let out a long sigh. "No, James it isn't. Lena found out about me and Kara." You expressed causing his lips to turn into a small o. It helped that you could talk freely, not everyone was in yet so you didn't have to worry about any eves droppers but the only real reason you had come in early was to spill some sense into the Luthor.

"Well it's probably a bad time to tell you that's she thinking of selling this place."

You shot your head up Dropping down into the comfort of your desk chair. "What no she can't do that!"

James shook his head. "She said she had more important things to do." You knew full well that she had brought this place for Kara but backing out of it only made it hurt a little more.

You threw your head into the palms of your hands. "Oh this is all my fault." You explained.

"Y/n don't blame yourself." James tried to comfort but he was wrong, this was your fault and there was no backing out from facing this.

With that you popped one eye out from your fingers. "Well why shouldn't I? I'm the reason that Lena can't even look at Kara anymore I've totally fucked up" you huffed running a hand through your short locks. Even if Kara forgave you, Lena was another problem that would be solved so easily.

"Lena just needs time I'm sure that she's just confused." James tried to comfort but his expression was one of personal doubt.

"I hope you're right."

"Anyway I should get back to work." He swings open the doors to the office and you sigh hitting your head down on the wooden desk with a loud thud.

Screaming although what The neighbours heard was yelling; stupid alien ears Kara thought.

Kara is standing wide-eyed on trembling legs, she could already feel her tears threatening to fall. She knew Lena would be upset but it seemed like an understatement at the anger that the Luthor girl was gripping onto.

But to Kara this was anything but Lena. This isn't Lena she repeats to herself because that's all she wants to think. Kara finds the need to comfort her but as she reaches out, Lena slaps her hand away which is something that comes as a surprise, Lena Luthor ALWAYS melted into Karas touch but now it was like poison to her.

But one thing they both learnt is no one is really who they say they are. Kara isn't the woman Lena knew. No now all she could see was supergirl; the girl of steel- the girl who had lied to her from their very first meeting. She couldn't differentiate the two, both sides of Kara she knew melting into the person stood before her.

And to Kara Lena had become unrecognisable, a woman tortured of continued lies and betrayal, those by the closest people she had ever known.

Turning on her heel, Lena walks to the glass doors of the office but she suddenly stops like she not done with Kara.

"Wait!" Kara gets in her why squeezing herself between the door and Lena herself holding her arms out like a starfish. "Where are you going?"

"Home." By now Lena is drained. She drained of confronting Kara, at this point she's burnt out completely.

"Oh, well...I'll call you? So we can talk about this"

"Don't." Lena spat.

Kara steps back, blinking, before stepping in closer this time, she doesn't want to be awake. She wants this to be all a dream but it wasn't, anything but that. This was her nightmare. "You don't mean that." Kara choked back on her tears.

"I know what I mean." Lena snapped, her own tear cascading down her hot cheeks.

"You're just angry."

For a moment Lena's eyes are like the color of kryptonite and it burns right through to Kara. "I have every right to be angry but that's not the worse feeling. Betrayed by my best friend"

Kara doesn't want her to leave. "Please Lena!" She begs still holding her arms out flat against the cool glass. "I know you need time but when can we talk?"

Lena lets out a throaty scoff. "You don't interview me anymore, Miss Danvers, now move!" It's not much of a challenge for Kara to peel herself from the door. She could've stayed there until Lena calmed down but dispite how long that would take Kara had to respect her anger. As she leaves, Lena doesn't look back as much as she wants to.

You walked into the apartment, your cape swishes back behind you but you stop in dead tracks as you see Kara nested up in a mountain of blankets, only one hand reaching out to the tub of ice cream in her lap.

"Lena?" You asked not bothering to change and siting down beside her.

Kara sniffles, her glasses had been thrown on the table as she wipes her eyes once more. "Who else?" She whispered her voice cracking under her heartbreak.

"Kara, she will come round." You tried to comfort. You hadn't told her about CatCo yet but you knew too well that would only cause the girl to topple over the edge.

Kara moves the tub of ice cream with the spoon poking out onto the coffee table. "And what if she doesn't, what if she never wants to see me ever again?"

The sympathy flows off of you and Kara curls into your comfort from the side. You sigh resting your chin against her head. "Have you reached out to her at all? Called or texted or-"

Kara sniffles rubbing her nose "She blocked my number."

"I'm sorry Kara but Lena cares deeply about you, she wouldn't leave you." You expressed whispering into her blonde hair.

"Y/n?" She spoke barely a whisper.

"Yes?" You asked moving back so the younger kryptonian could look at you.

"I-I ..." she tries but the tears threaten to fall again. Her eyes completely blood shot and her cheeks puffy. The look in her eyes was the only thing you seem to translate.

"I know and everything is going to be okay. Now do you want some pop stickers?" You questioned trying your hardest to support the young woman, you got up from your space on the couch and moved over to the kitchen where you prepared her a large bowl of cold potstickers. It was almost complete but at this heartbreak it needed a little more than food so you popped the kettle on.
