You shot from your chair well almost flew into her arms. "Kara youre back. Thank Rao." You smiled kissing her forehead as her legs struggled to find the floor. Your arms seem to fly around her frame but hers stand by her side, frozen but wishing she didn't have to say a word.

You couldn't see her face yet but she sighs as you let go reaching out to hold your hand. "Yeah we got some information But-."

"But what?" You spat out looking at her with sincere as her face only morphs into a worse expression, her heart sinking as she watches you clueless. How could she ever apologise for this?

"Tell him." Livewire whispered as Alex collected her for her debrief. You wanted nothing more to call after her but Alex decided to give you some privacy as if she knew but it didn't stop her from looking over her shoulder to the empty ship.

It shouldn't have took you long to connect the dots but you didn't expect the worse from a simple mission.

"Tell me what?" You called out watching as Livewire watches you one last time without her grin but rather, a calm straight expression.
"will someone just spit it out already." You groaned looking back at Kara who rubs her thumb against the back of your hand.

Kara swallowed her pride. Her hurt. "Um.. psi- Gayle she.. reign killed her" she explained her face going pale as if it was her first time admitting it aloud, the journey home was quiet enough.

You struck your hand from her grasp and stepped backwards digesting her words. "What no impossible, how?!" Your anger was showing and it only made it harder for Kara to speak.

Kara dropped her focus to the floor. "She threw herself in front of me to protect me. Us." She explained although it only seemed to fly over your head as you fist tightened.

You closed your eyes for a moment taking the words to heart. "What about her powers?" You asked confused, if she used her powers reign wouldn't stand a chance.

Kara gulps down the nausea creeping up and sighs. "She still had the blocker on I'm sorry" she whispered softly although that was out of her control. She felt guilty.

"Don't be this is reigns doing." You spat gaining her attention once more. Karas heart stopped.

Kara jumps forward before you could punch anything, anything at all. "Don't do anything rash." She begged, if it took anyone to stop reign she wasn't having you going in without thinking.

You chuckled. "Oh I'm not I'm bringing her down for good." You spat out letting her hand grip your shoulder.

"Y/n Wait there's more, there's others." She sighed softly. Alex's ear perch up and J'onn raises a brow.

"What do you mean, "others"?" You mocked. This was all you needed.

Kara lets go to see the others waiting by. Winn gulped behind his iPad he heard every word and couldn't bring himself to look at you, grief was a messy thing especially when the killer is a mass murdering super villain. "Worldkillers. She called them "purity and pestilence. " Kara explained. "Now all we have to do is find them before Reign does."

J'onn sighs  "Worldkillers are still out there. The city has been quiet ever since you got back from Fort Rozz." He explained.

Winn missed your gaze as you sit down with a slump playing with your fingers. He jumped up from his chair and gestured for Kara to follow over. "Yeah, I mean, we've been trying to track Kryptonian heat signatures, but all we're coming up with is you two and your cousin. Which, I will say though, is nice, because I know where he is" he grins.

Kara raises a brow looking at the empty screen, just two blobs standing by each other and another far apart. "Well, shouldn't they be reading like they're me, basically?" She asked placing her hands on her hips and she watches over the table to Alex who grimaces a no.
