Something was off today. Ethan couldn't figure out what. That was until lunch.

Everything had just seemed more quiet today, no messages blowing up the groupchat, no getting his locker slammed shut, no screaming being heard from down the halls. Harry.
Where was he?
To heighten Ethan's shock Harry was in school, the whole day!
So what had he been doing? And why wasn't he annoying Ethan like usual? Ethan was personally itching to find out.

It was lunch time and the boys gathered at their usual spot, it was a quiet picnic bench next to a large oak tree, pretty much isolated from the rest of the busy school grounds. JJ was actually the one to find it after stumbling across it when Harry needed a quiet place to breathe.
Ethan wasn't the last to arrive, as he sat he saw the last few people and turned his attention to Harry. The boy in question was holding a fork and poking at a weird pasta salad looking dish, a slight grimace on his face.
It was quiet.
Everyone was chewing on their food, not much had been said besides the usual hellos.
Apparently everyone else had noticed the silence as Tobi was the one to mention it.

"Did something happen?" He asks, a few shrug their shoulders, genuine confusion adorning their features.
JJ looks around at the table of his friends, "I don't think so but somethings...off," he says.

Slowly, one by one they all look to Harry. The youngest was still poking at his lunch, never daring to put the strange concoction in his mouth. It's not until he picks up his water to take a sip when half way through raising the bottle to his lips does he realize the whole table is looking at him. He drinks the water and watches them all curiously. He sets its down, "what?" He asks.
"What do you mean what? You haven't said anything yet?" Jj supplies rather unhelpfully.
"Alright, and?" This is unusual, the mild response was the closest the group had ever seen of Harry's confrontational side.
Jj rolls his eyes at the glimpse of stubbornness.
"And that's not like you, what's going on?" The group silently approve of the question.

Harry's frown grows a little and he looks back to his food, stabbing a piece of lettuce with little force, "'s nothing," he mumbles as he stabs another piece.

Simon swallows a bite of his sandwich, "aight well now we know it's something." Harry mock rolls his eyes at this, grumbling a, "fuck off minter," with no real venom to it.
"Okay but I'm right though," he says looking around and getting nods from the other boys.
"He is you know bog, what's up?" Josh asks.

Harry sighs in frustration, dropping the fork into the container and resting his heavy head in his hands.
"Nothings wrong." And well, now they definitely know somethings wrong.
Before anyone can push further, Vik comes in to his rescue, "hey, if you don't want to talk about it that's fine," he gives the other boy a smile.
"But, sharing problems make them smaller. We only want to help bog, take your time but know we're here," Tobi says, causing Harry's lips to twitch up for a second in a soft smile.
"Thanks Tobes," his voice is a whisper.

The group decide to drop the subject for now, though most of them plan to bring it up later when they go back to JJ and Simons flat to hang out.

They all manage to make it through the day, though Ethan feels like there's lead weighing down his shoes as he walks from the building, exhausted.
They get to the flat and everyone sprawls out over the two sofas and bean bag chair. Since it was a Friday they decided watching a movie would be in order.
