"Lads," Josh exclaims as he slides onto the groups lunch bench.
The group look at him curiously, all ears.
"The most attractive boy I've ever seen just moved in two doors down from me," he tells them, buzzing with excitement.

JJ perks up at this, "really?" Simon glares at him, "why do you care?" He asks.
JJ looks sheepish for a moment, "sorry babe, just exciting innit?" Simon has a sour expression on his face, he looks at JJ with a questioning raised eyebrow before sighing and wrapping an arm around the others torso.

Josh ignores their bickering, turning to the the rest of the group excitedly, "my mum was talking to his parents and he's our age so i reckon he'll be coming to our school!"
Tobi grins at his friends enthusiasm.
"What's his name Josh?" Vik asks, taking a bite out of his wrap.

"Harry," Josh tells him, "he's so pretty it's not even funny," he gushes.
"Damn Josh," JJ says with a smirk.
Simon pulls back and looks at him again, "do you have something to tell me?" He asks JJ in exasperation, poking him in the side. The group laugh and JJ falters again, "no I'm sorry, just backing Josh," he tries to back himself up.

"Well let someone else back Josh," Simon says with a pout.
He looks at Josh, "happy for you though Josh, he sounds hot," his words are chosen purposefully to piss off JJ. "Yo, what the fuck!" He exclaims, cut off by a kiss pressed to his lips by a giggling Simon. The group laugh at their antics.

Suddenly Vik looks as though he's remembered something, "wait did you say Harry?" He asks the older boy. He nods in affirmation. "Is it Harry Lewis by any chance?" He pushes and Josh looks at him confused before nodding once more.
Vik smiles, "he's in my AP English class!"

Josh breaks out into a nervous grin, "oh shit so he is here."
"I've never seen you look nervous before, I like it," Ethan jokes earning a laugh from the group.

The next week consists of Josh's crush growing even bigger, he talks non-stop at lunch about the younger boy. By the time friday comes the group is frankly sick of it.

"Josh just ask him out, please," Ethan groans at Josh's latest ramble.
"I-" he thinks about it for a moment, "I can't,
I don't know if he's gay or into guys," he says.
"Guess you can always find out," Tobi says looking over Josh's head.
"And how do you suppose I do that," he asks, his tone laced with slight passive aggressiveness.
"Ask him," JJ says while chewing. Simon grimaces, "close your mouth when you eat." JJ rolls his eyes in exasperation, "let me live!" He exclaims, food flying from his mouth causing the group members closest to him to shout at him to stop.
"And when will I ask him," Josh asks again, mildly bothered.

"Right now seems like a good time," Tobi giggles sneakily, looking down at his salad.
"Wha-?" a different voice cuts Josh off, he turns to look at who it belongs to.

"Excuse me? Sorry for interrupting you mate," the boy says to Josh who's mouth is slightly agape in shock.

"Hi Harry," Vik smiles at the boy. Harry grins back, a slight look of relief on his face upon seeing the familiar boy.
"Hi Vik," he waves to the boy sitting on the opposite side of the table.
"You alright?" Tobi asks him. Harry nods.
"I was wondering if I'd be able to sit with you guys? No worries if not, it's just been getting kind of lonely," he rubs the back of his neck and huffs a laugh.
"Yes!" JJ exclaims before choking on the food he failed to swallow in all his excitement. He starts coughing violently, spluttering some remnants of his lunch back into the container in front of him.
Simon grimaces slightly at the sight, patting his back, "You're alright, come on get it up," he comforts the boy. The rest of the group are in hysterics laughing at the situation, Ethan especially, Josh the least. He's still trying to compose himself when Harry speaks again, looking mildly concerned,
"Is he okay?" He points to JJ who's now guzzling Simons water, the boy in question gives him a thumbs up.
