Hyunwoo thought Kihyun was beautiful. Breathtaking, even. Sometimes, when he sat down and started painting, Hyunwoo would spend minutes and sometimes hours looking at him, writing down random sentences, or really just describing him. He had written a lot of little stories lately, depicting an almost-fantasy-like beauty, from his eyes that shone when he was happy, the galaxy in them, to his milky legs that he sometimes put on display when it was too hot. Hyunwoo was captivated; never met anyone like that, so beautiful and pure. His personality played a big role in why Hyunwoo was fascinated by Kihyun, too; the man was so nice, intelligent, and mature. The hours spent discussing under the stars got Hyunwoo interested like never in someone. He was a firecracker, who knew what he wanted, but just needed a push of confidence to get him to go the full way. Someone with a lot of potentials and Hyunwoo admired him for that. For how he never gave up, kept going until he succeeded even if it was pure stubbornness. It was endearing, to say the least. Kihyun on the whole was endearing when his facade broke and he got scared by everything or acted like he didn't like Hyunwoo's playful teasing, but Hyunwoo could spot the smile on his face. It was so damn cute.
The writer felt like he met his muse. Whether it was the way he laughed so freely once he let go, or the way he smiled, so purely that Hyunwoo felt blinded by the light. What was the most adorable was when the younger man turned around to laugh after Hyunwoo either teased him or said a really bad joke. He could never help it, and the color of his cheeks was one of a bright red.
There were also the little freckles that could be easily seen under the bright sun. They were like a family of stars decorating the boy's cheeks and face, and Hyunwoo thought it was absolutely beautiful. Kihyun really was like a shining star, a beautiful creature that was like out of this world.
It was probably why Hyunwoo decided to sit next to him in the first place. It was like two magnets being attracted to each other; he felt like he needed to talk to the boy, even if only for a couple of minutes or hours. He had been strangely excited once Kihyun agreed to his proposal, but also really surprised. The younger really was one of a kind, if he freely accepted to follow a stranger in his house in the woods. He had been delegated, too, when Kihyun understood his book's reference. Or when they walked through the woods, smiling and laughing together.
Everything felt comfortable with Kihyun. It was something Hyunwoo was relieved of because he often was awkward with people. Or met some who always needed action anytime. It wasn't Kihyun's case; the boy seemed perfectly alright with even just reading with Hyunwoo, or walk through the woods with him. Just thinking about the way he got so scared for nothing in the forest made the writer smile a bit dumbly, because damn, it was truly adorable. Maybe Hyunwoo was smitten, but he just never met anyone like that, so unique and full of colors. It was his first time experiencing such feelings.
In addition, the writer had never been one to really open to everyone. He was mostly quiet about his past and the way he felt, but with Kihyun...He just let it all out. Talked about Hoseok, the way he had been so dumb to react so strongly when they parted away. About Changkyun, his hyperactive little brother with the biggest heart but also character, a firecracker, and just about what he thought. About life, spatial life, the stars in the sky; everything. And Kihyun was there, listening and giving his own opinion. He even fell asleep on him when they were watching the stars on the hill, and Hyunwoo had never smiled so big. Had played with the younger hair softly until he fell asleep too, just like that night when there was a storm.
To have someone who understood you like that, so quickly, and helped you, was magical. Hyunwoo had always wanted to be a writer; writing was the only thing that got him out of the darkness. It helped him stay sane by sometimes escaping in his own little imaginary world. He couldn't even describe how happy he was that it all worked out. He had chosen a degree in economics, mostly to please his mother and honored his father's memory, but he started to also work on a book during his free time. About Jaemin, a cop, who chased a strange serial killer. There was Ho-Sook, his roommate and best friend, who helped him a lot despite being a dancer. Of course, he was inspired by Hoseok, and when they parted away, Hyunwoo decided that Ho-Sook would be the killer all along.
Hyunwoo had been lucky enough that his English professor had seen his work, and encouraged him to see an editor. Just like Hoseok and Changkyun, but that was the last straw he needed. His book had been published, and was, weirdly enough for him, popular enough. He wrote the second book, dropped his degree, and started working fully on his writings. His mother had supported him nonetheless, which he was glad for, and now, here he was. After her death, in the house of his childhood. With a stranger not so stranger anymore, and he was loving every second of it, could finally write again. He had stopped a bit after his mother's death. Therefore, he was definitely glad for Kihyun's arrival in his life. It felt like home again, despite his mother being gone and his brother being far away. He met a kind, selfless, talented, and handsome man that helped him more than anything. Hyunwoo was thrilled to see where his life would go from now on, but he was ready. With Kihyun, his brother and best friend by his side, there was nothing to worry about.
