John B ~ One of the rare times John B takes advice from JJ, which wasn't even directed towards him. Deny. Deny. Deny. He won't admit he is sick for anything.

"I am not sick. It's just a scratchy throat, probably allergies, they happen all the time in the summer."

Hint hint, it's not just a scratchy throat. His nose is constantly running, his ears are draining, he's coughing up phlegm and hocking loogies more often, as well as a constant headache.

He lets it play out for weeks. Weeks. Until his symptoms get worse and worse to the point where he can't sleep or even think about eating. Then and only then will he allow you to seek him medical attention.

Turns out this man had a sinus infection and he let it sit too long which led to chronic sinusitis. He was dreading the fact he would be on antibiotics for so long, and making him take it daily was more than a struggle on your behalf.

JJ ~ There are two phases to JJ being sick. At first, he's stubborn and will not admit that he's sick in any way shape, or form. Not once will he agree to take medicine, skip out on a day of work, or even skip out on a hangout with the pogues. Then, after he's done being a stubborn pain in the ass, he turns into a big ass baby.

The first time he got sick as your boyfriend, he was a bit taken aback. Growing up he never got the affection you give him, his dad never cared. So to have you fussing about how he feels and nagging him to take his medicine, or making him soup is a strange thing at first, but he loves it. So once he does come to terms with the fact that he is sick, he fully takes advantage of it.

He just wants you around all the time. If he's throwing up he wants you there to comfort him, if he's got a fever he wants you there to take his temperature, if his stomach is doing flips he wants you there to threaten to force the medicine down his throat. He just wants you with him.

Kiara ~ Kiara is the mom in every group, and she does her best to take care of everyone, except herself. Even with a raging head cold, she refuses to believe it.

She didn't want you fussing over her anymore, so she agreed to take some medicine. She didn't want to admit that it helped, so she didn't until the effects wore off and she wanted some more.

"What did you give me before?"

You had to be the one to make a call to her parents to let them know she was sick and to ask for a few days off on her behalf. She was not very happy with you but thanked you afterward when she just got to stay in bed and recuperate the next few days.

Pope ~ This boy- smh. Mr. Know It All, does all of the googling and research to diagnose himself. Something all Hayward men have in common, they HATE going to the doctors. The same is true for Pope. He refuses to go, but after you drag him in he gives the doc the run down. (Which annoys the doctor so much if I'm being honest, like, come on Pope, let the man do his job. You're going to take him out of business. At least let him think he's smarter than you for a little while.) Nonetheless, after much protest from Pope, you convince him to let the doctor at least perform a semi-check-up on him.

And then he complains about it, the whole way home.

"I don't know why he had to do that. I already knew what was wrong with me. Why couldn't he just prescribe me the medicine and send us on our way."

Pope refuses to let you kiss or cuddle him until he's been on antibiotics for 24 hours. Even then he likes to keep it minimal. Until he's better anyway. Then he does not hold back. He needs to catch up on all of the attention he missed.

Rafe ~ This man is bipolar as all hell, you can never really be sure. However, there are a few symptoms that you can watch out for that will give you a hint.

For example, if he has a headache, he's going to try and push you away. He'll spend his day in bed by himself, with his bedroom door closed, and he'll try to push everyone away. Mainly because noise makes it worse, but he also doesn't want to be seen as weak.

Whereas if it's something along the lines of he has a cold, he wants you near him at all times. He'd prefer to be the little spoon in this situation, or even if you just let him lay on top of you, he'll be a happy boy.

Taking medicine and going to the doctor are two of his least favorite things in the world. He was craving tacos, so you agreed to take him to taco bell, and he fell asleep in the car on the way, so you ended up just taking him straight to the hospital so you could get a prescription. He didn't talk to you for the rest of the night, but he did silently cuddle you later on when his fever was at its highest.

Sarah ~ She either won't let you near her or won't let you away from her. Whether you get to make contact with your girlfriend over the next few days depends on how sick she really feels. If it's bad, she's putting herself on a restriction from seeing you until she's better or no longer contagious. However, she will call you lots if it ends up being that way.

She's very overly cautious. You could be bringing her soup or something, and go to hug her, and she'll back away all freaked out.

"I don't want you getting my germs. Thank you for the soup, I love you. Call me when you get home."

Topper ~ Uses it as an excuse for everything I swear to God. He's thirsty? "I'm sick, can you get me some water?" He's hungry? "I'm sick, can you get me something to eat?" He's bored? "I'm sick, can you do something with me?" He is the most dependent person ever when he doesn't feel good. He will not hesitate to turn you into his personal maid/caretaker.

As far as he's concerned, even if it's just a head cold, he shouldn't be doing anything for himself. He will use that as an excuse even after he's nearly healthy until you pull out the stops and threaten to take him in again.

"Nevermind, I can make my own bagel."
