Awkward (Fred Weasley fanfic)

Chapter 3

After dinner, Fred and George's brother Percy began leading all Gryffindor first years to the dormitories. "Gryffindors, follow me please. Keep up! Thank you." Percy barked at us. Ok now this boy needs to calm himself we can only walk so fast! "This is the most direct path to the dormitories. Oh, and keep an eye on the staircases. They like to change..." as if on cue every first year looked up to see staircases moving like they had a mind of their own. Actually, a couple of weeks ago, I got onto one of the staircases and just let them take me somewhere. It was a great way to explore the castle. We approached a painting of a lady in a pink dress. "Password?" She asked in a monotone voice. "Caput Draconis." Percy answered. The painting opened and revealed a hole in the wall. We walked through and found ourselves in the Gryffindor common room. I loved it. It felt so cozy and warm. "Boys dormitories upstairs and down to the left, girls the same on your right. You will find your belongings have already been brought up." well I guess it's time to meet people. Please let things go well.....

"Hi. I'm Hermione Granger. What's your name?" A girl with bushy brown hair asked. She seems like a kind of know it all but nice at the same time. "I'm Skylar Knight. American obviously." I said. "Wow that's interesting. Oh look! Our beds are right next to each other! Maybe this means we're meant to be friends." I'm actually surprised at how well things have been going so far. Maybe Hermione and I really could be best friends.

*Next Day*
Today was the first day of classes and I was very rudely awoken by Hermione violently shaking me and yelling at me to wake up. "I'm up I'm up!!" I shouted. "Skylar come on you don't want to be late on your first day!" Although I wanted to stay in bed and be lazy, I forced myself up and got ready. I was done in only ten minutes so we went down to the great hall to grab some breakfast. I can't wait for our first class. Transfiguration.

A/N: I know this is short and sucky but I needed to update and had to get meeting hermione out of the way but don't worry I will update by next Friday  and I have some really good ideas about the next chapters :)))
