As the hours passed by paper work after paper work, I've finally finished packing away a few case papers to look over at home stopping at Kage's doorway signaling my end of shift. Kage looked up from his desk and signaled me inside and I complied cautiously sitting down at the oversized desk. "Mr. Tate, I'd like to apologize about the small end of the argument you witnessed earlier." He frowned. "That's not exactly how I imagined our first meeting to go I assure you that." He replied again. "All is well, Sir. I didn't pay to much mind of what happened, I'm here to do my job not judge." I said hoping to not seem bothered by what had happened earlier that morning. "Good." He smiled "Now don't worry about him to much alright? He may be a bit of a case but he's an alright guy I guess." He laughed as he handed me some more papers to fill out at home, as I made my way out of the building I thought to myself, what could have been so bad that you'd have an outburst of anger like that? It practically radiated off the man.. Pushing those thoughts to the back of my mind I notice it's starting to get late and that curfew would be soon so I quickly made my way to a small take out shop to grab some food before heading home to avoid another awkward occurrence like last nights.
I stood outside the shop waiting for my order and that strange feeling had come back once again, the feeling that someone was watching me. Looking around to find that no one was in fact in any sight of mine calmed my nerves but I still had that feeling which kept me on my toes an anxiously waiting for my order, as I went to turn again I was startled by a tall man standing by my side the same man who was in the office earlier that day. I straighten my back to try an seem more relaxed as he turns his head to me "It's a gorgeous night out isn't it?" He said in a deep calm voice which caught me by surprise. "Yes, I suppose it is, almost curfew though." I responded. "English?" He asked raising a brow. "Yea? What about it?" I retorted back seemingly annoyed ready to fight back. "Nothing at all." He laughed holding his hands up in a playful like manner "Just haven't met an Englishman before, just seen them in movies, didn't exactly believe you all were quite real to be honest." He shrugged. "Well, as you can see we are quite real." I laugh an notice he visibly becomes more relaxed as well. I thought to myself again that he couldn't be that bad of a guy he seems pretty calm and collected right now, then my mind drifted back to this morning and I was lost in my thoughts till I was broke out of them "Hey you're orders ready, you alright?" He asked raising a brow as I ran my hand through my hair subconsciously. "Yes, sorry. I was lost in my thoughts for a moment." I respond as he tilts his head as if he was trying to read my emotions. "erm..Well I best be off then!" I say as I start to walk away. "Hold on a minute!" He yells as he grabs onto to the sleeve of my jacket, I look up at him an raise my brow in question of what he wanted. "Here, take this." He says as he scribbles on a small piece of paper and hands it to me. "If you're ever in a tight situation give me a call, some of the lot here can be a bit of trouble for an off duty cop and if you ever would like to sit for a cup of coffee? make some friends?" He says scratching the back of his head. "That's...kind of you, I definitely will." I respond giving him a reassuring smile as he nods an smiles back before getting back to his own order.
The drive back to the house isn't generally long but the darkness has made it seem like an internal wave, listening to the old Bowie cassette tapes that my mother had given me as a present as she wished me safe travels. Listening and singing along to the tapes had shown to be much of a distraction, so much so that I had almost hit a passing wolf screeching my car to a halt "What the fuck?" I said to myself not thinking much into it as I began to drive again but what happened next? I have no idea, all I can really remember was a loud roaring as my car had been hit by something then some muffled voices but no faces to match them as I assume may have been the emergency squad. As I woke up the next morning feeling all the pain and a broken arm and seeing two familiar faces Aries and Michael. Why the bloody hell is Michael here?
