Nick

That fucker is here.

Goddamn it- why do I even care, it's not like Selena would do anything stupid, it's not supposed to be like that.

"Nick, can you pass the salt?" Olivia asked from the other side of the square table. Selena sat on the right side of the table next to me and Joe sat on my left, making Olivia sit in the middle. Not so strange.

I passed the salt and turned to my dish after watching Selena eat her scrumptious bowl of Chicken Salad. "Enjoying it?" I said as I leaned in to bump her with my shoulder. She chuckled and glanced at me, "Yes, very."

"You guys are so cute," Olivia said, sprinkling her spaghetti with the salt I just passed her.

"I could say the same about you and Joe," I said, winking at the both of them, making Joe laugh nervously and Olivia blush.

"Yes, I totally ship-" Selena blurted before cutting. "Oh, wait, you two are already a thing-"

"We are not!" Joe and Olivia both said, looking at each other afterward.

"But you will be? Yeah, heard that before," I said, turning back to my plate, Joe punching my shoulder. I quickly moved my arms to press his shoulders, making him grab mine. "Boys!" snapped Selena. I ignored her and stood up, pressing Joe down into his seat. He stood up and we were both compressed into each other's shoulders.

"Joe!" Olivia hissed, making Joe look back, allowing me to slap him across the face.

"Nick, what was that!?" Selena snapped, pulling me back down. Joe had a hand to his face, his expression blank as he stared past me. "Sorry, he punched me first," I said, finally realized that it clearly went too far.

"I punched your SHOULDER!" Joe hissed, glaring at me. Olivia pierced her lips and taps Joe's arm. "Let's just- be friends and stop fighting, Joe- apologize, now."

Joe turned to me and sighed, "Fine, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have punched you."

"I shouldn't have punched you, too." I looked down at my plate and we all started eating in silence.

Zayn

Niall was telling a very cute story of his Nephew and how he played basketball the other day, totally embarrassing himself as he bounced the ball onto the pavement and directly bounced back straight at his nose.

"Also, we were on stage the other day..." Harry's voice trailed off of my mind as I saw Selena smiling warmly at nick, who didn't seem to notice at all. She looked down as her smile faded slowly, making the corners of my mouth drop a little. A girl like her shouldn't feel that way...

"Zayn?" Harry snapped, waving his hands in front of my face. "Were you listening to my story?"

"Yeh, man, I was just wondering why Selena looks so sad over there," I concerned. I felt open to these boys, knowing that they would never tell on me.

"You like her?" Liam said, mature.

I nodded solemnly. Niall and Louis just glanced nervously at each other and Harry blurted, "Niall used to get caught pap snogging Selena, y' know!"

Niall's eyes widened and harry quietly put his hand of his mouth. I tried to keep calm, telling them that I wasn't bothered by this. "You're... okay with that, right?" Niall said, slowly.

I stayed quiet for  while and nodded, "Yeah, I mean, it's not like she'll ever like me." I looked over at Liam and gave him a compressed look, making him look down.

"Right," I heard Niall mumble.

"Oh look, she's getting up-" Harry said, making me punch his shoulder.

"Is she leaving already?" Liam concerned, making me glare at him. Sometimes, these boys will always stay like this, and it'll always be me, the one who has to tell them to shut up all the time.

"No way, she's going home alone?"

"Why isn't Nick or Joe going with her?"

"Ooh, that girl with Joe is cute-"

"Guys!" I snapped, not too loud. They all sat back down in their seats and mumbled a sorry. I sighed and got up, "No one comes with-" I said, glaring at each one of them as they slowly sat back down AGAIN.

Selena

It was past dessert and I was watching Olivia tell a story about her modeling trial; it's supposed to be fascinating, but when Olivia's telling it, you kinda want to dose off a little. I stared at Nick's side profile as I tried to trace his sidelines with my eyes; pretty dumb thing to do, but it was obviously way better than listening to Olivia tell her dumb story. Sorry.

I gave up and slapped the napkin onto the table, just a little too harshly, making Nick look up at me.

"I need the bathroom," I breathed, pressing my lips together to form a little smile. Nick smiled and nodded, turning back to Olivia.

I walked away, the corners of my eyes seeing a cute, hilarious sight. Zayn was like- trying to hold down all his friends so they could sit normally. Why the hell are they doing that!?

I stepped into the cool restaurant where I saw a bunch of tables, most of them were empty, some of them were occupied with couples making out, or having a polite conversation.

A waiter knew where I wanted to be and guided me down the hall, where I spotted the W/C sign.

"Thank you," I said, bowing my head slightly to form a nod.

"Oh, there isn't one for men, so you might encounter some," he said, smiling.

I nodded politely. Inside, I was screaming.

What if I 'encounter' a terrorist that escapes jail? What if a clown comes out of the toilet? What if I get chased by... a serial killer that flew across America to find the world's most famous singer, kill them, and bury himself in a grave in an abandoned cemetery?

I was so deep into my thoughts, I didn't realize that I walked right into the wall on the other side of the bathroom.

I guess I looked pretty stupid because someone laughed behind me.

"That was funny," he said in a slightly higher-than-usual voice.

I snorted out a chuckle, "Hah, we've got to stop meeting up like this; people are going to talk!"
