Melanie walked over to Kristine and said, "Well isn't it baby Kristiiii. How you been girly." Melanie said as if we were the best of friends. "I'm fine." I said through clenched teeth. "Awww, someone's a little mad. Aren't they?" She smiled real big. Mr. Willis cleared his throat, "Um okay, miss Colver may you please take a seat so I can begin my class." Melanie rolled her eyes and sat right behind Kristine. Petty. When I say this class couldn't go by any slower, felt like I've been in here for centuries. When I sighed deeply, the bell rung. I nearly sprinted out the door to get out of class. Melanie stopped me. I was really getting tired of her presence and breathing the same air as her. I snapped, "What do you want Melanie?" She held her chest, a little surprised by my action. "Well someone grew some balls since last year. I think this sophomore shit is really getting to your head Kristi baby." She said while getting in my face. No, I thought to myself.. I'm sticking up for myself. Which I never did and that's what I'm going to do right now. I pushed her with all my strength that I had, she instantly reacted and swung at me. Next thing you know someone comes and grab me and pulls me away. "Hey, hey! Put me the fuck down yo." They put me down and I turned around to face the one and only Jermy. "Why did you pull me away from her? I was going to give her a piece of my mind!" I said getting furious. "Aye, calm that down. I just saved you from getting yo behind beat!" He scoffed at me and walked away. I stood there taking in what he just said to me. When then I realized I had to get to class on time, I took off down the hall.
