"I'll always be hopelessly devoted to you."

Moving to Forks with her twin should've been fairly easy for Eleanor Swan. And it would've been, if it hadn't been for Jasper Hale.

Now, this particular outtake would have originally been in Chapter 3 "Suspicions" but I ended up deleting it completely from it. The contents of this are now only hinted at and only picked up later on in the story when Eleanor visits Jasper and finds the file in Chapter 6 "Every Breath You Take". This outtake contains the full file on Eleanor and Jasper's reaction to it. It thought it was really fun but it does contain spoilers if you haven't read Chapters 6, 7 & 8 yet!

"Here is the file you requested, Mr. Jasper," J. Jenks said as he handed Jasper a large, brown file containing information on Eleanor Swan. They had met up in a shady, barely lit parking lot just outside of Seattle in the middle of the night, and J.Jenks was shaking slightly. He was always a nervous wreck when he met Jasper; his partner who worked with Jasper before him was their emotions, usually a mix of terror and disdain. They probably could tell that Jasper was dangerous in a way they wouldn't want to find out, and with how many times they had to forge documents for him and his family, they usually assumed the worst. But, it paid very, very well, and they were typically paid a bonus for consistently delivering on time, so they tried to ignore it as best as they could and just gave them whatever they asked for. That being said, this was the first time Jenks had been tasked with delivering information on someone. He found it curious, to say the least, and was very close to calling the police as he feared for the young woman but decided against it because he feared an investigation into his dodgy businesses even more.
The woman meant nothing to him, and the blood wouldn't be on his hands, and so, he let it go. "Thank you," Jasper told him curtly, quickly throwing it into the passenger seat of his car. "Is there anything else I can do for you?" Jenks asked him. "No, that would be all," Jasper said before he pulled a thick envelope out of seemingly nowhere containing the cash Jenks had requested before he sped off into the night back to Forks. His hands were twitching with excitement to read more about the curious and fascinating woman he had met, and he was very thankful that the roads were empty, although that wasn't a surprise, considering it was 1:30 in the morning. Jasper could speed as much as he wanted, and so, instead of arriving back home within 4 hours, it only took him around 3. He would've loved just to run home instead, and he probably would have been much faster, but it would have been even more suspicious to Jenks then, even if he didn't ask any questions ever. As soon as he was home, he could hear his family chatting away in the living room, but he didn't bother to say hello. Edward had returned earlier that day, and especially Esme had been overjoyed. She always did worry too much. He just ran off into his room, the folder in his hands. For a split second, as he stared at it, he thought about not opening it and burning it instead, leaving Eleanor Swan her privacy and having her tell him all of the things he would find in there himself if she wanted to. It was shameful of him, really, to dig that deep into someone for no reason other than curiosity, but she would never know, so where was the issue after all? And so he opened it and there she was grocery shopping. Had they followed her? Now he did feel a little bit bad. He had not requested that but only asked them to gain information on her.

Jasper both smiled and frowned as he was reading through the file of Eleanor. It worried him that she had suffered from such a severe injury at only fifteen years old and still needed active treatment. Her rehabilitation couldn't have ended that much earlier. He would have to ask Carlisle about that; he would probably understand more on the matter. Eleanor didn't seem like she was in any pain, though, so either she was incredibly well at concealing it, or the treatment was working in her favour, and she was actually okay. And what the hell was a Depo-Provera shot? Jasper shrugged it off for now and instead focused on her incredible list of achievements. He knew that she had danced; she had told him so himself a few days before, but she hadn't mentioned just how good she had been. Jasper didn't know anything about the competitions Eleanor had entered and won, but he presumed they were highly competitive, and awards like the ones she received were probably very coveted. She seemed to have a promising career ahead of her, and it saddened him that it had ended too soon, all because of a light failure. She might have been a famous ballerina by now, though, deep in his heart, Jasper understood that he probably would have never met her then, so in a way, he should be grateful for this. He now looked at the attachments, and it was full of articles and pictures of a younger (sometimes much younger) Eleanor. He looked at the magazine articles first and smiled at the various headlines and photographs, from primarily local newspapers and a few dance magazines.
Jasper smiled at the pictures of a younger Eleanor Swan. She had grown a bit within only two years; She lost the braces she sported in some of the images, developed more curves, and her hair seemed just the slightest bit longer. From what he could tell from the photos, she didn't appear any taller, but her long limbs now didn't look as lanky as they did back then. She was very petite in all of the pictures, and her arms and legs were nearly worryingly thin. But he could see what other people saw in her. She had that exuberant joy when she was dancing, so much that it even translated into the pictures. One picture, in particular, stood out to him. It must have been shortly before her accident as the back of it said "September 2003". The picture shows Eleanor jumping in her pointe shoes in a flowing, light blue dress, snow falling around her in a studio. It was obviously a professional picture, possibly for one of the dance magazines, and although Jasper could barely see her face, she looked like she was floating. He carefully took it out and decided he would put it up somewhere in his room. If there were nothing he could keep of Eleanor Swan, he would at least have this picture, depicting her as the otherworldly being she was.
