❄︎ O4. UNDISCOVERED
And we're back with a new chapter ☺️ I would love for you to let me know what you guys think!
"Jasper Hale took you home." Eleanor jumped up in surprise as her bedroom door flung open and her twin burst in. "A warning would be nice next time," she scoffed. "Never mind that. Jasper Hale took you home," Bella repeated. "I know. I was there." "You're no fun," Bella pouted and threw a pillow from Eleanor's bed towards her. Eleanor laughed. "It wasn't a big deal. I fainted during Spanish, and he took me to the nurse before taking me home." "He also carried you." "How do you know that?" Eleanor wondered. "Lauren." "Right." "You have to tell me everything!" Bella begged, "Please!". Eleanor sighed. "I just didn't feel well, and then I kind of fainted. So Mrs Geoff sent us to the nurse's office. At some point, he just...picked me up, I guess? The nurse took me out of classes for the rest of the day. So he just...took me home," she explained. It was the shortcut version of everything. Still, it would suffice. "Wow," Bella gasped, "That was really nice of him." "It was," Eleanor agreed, "But really embarrassing as well." "There are worse things than being taken home by a hot guy." "Yeah, but there are also better things than fainting in front of a hot guy," Eleanor countered, "Honestly I thought I was going to puke and then what? I would've had to move to Timbuktu." "Oh, don't be so dramatic," Bella laughed, "He likes you. I don't think he would've minded." "He doesn't like me!" "Sure, that's why he carried you to the Nurse's office." "It was common courtesy." Bella only raised her eyebrow before she burst into laughter. "Stop laughing," Eleanor pouted, "Besides, how was Biology with Edward Cullen?" "Fine," Bella shrugged, "He was nice enough this time. We chatted a little." "So, there was nothing weird about him?" "Not more than usual. Why?" "Nothing," Eleanor back paddled, "I was just wondering after the last time." She had promised to not say anything, and there wasn't any use to it either at this point. "Right." Eleanor could tell Bella didn't buy it, but she didn't push it. This was typical, for both of them. It was a quality they both had gotten from Charlie. "Do you want me to make dinner tonight? I already got a head start on homework, so it wouldn't be a problem?" Eleanor offered, trying to change the subject. "That would be great," Bella nodded, "Mr. Varner gave us a lot of homework in Trigonometry." "Okay. Does pasta sound good?" "The one with the roasted vegetables? Yes, please." "Let's hope Charlie doesn't bite my head off for not including any meat," Eleanor joked. "He'll live," Bella waved it off with a grin, "By the way, can I borrow your red blouse tomorrow?" "Which one?" Eleanor asked. "The one with the slightly puffed sleeves?" "I thought you hated that blouse?" Bella shrugged, "I changed my mind. It's cute." Eleanor raised her eyebrow. "Sure. Does this have anything to do with Edward Cullen?" "N-no," she stammered, her cheeks blushing. "I knew it," Eleanor grinned, "It's in my closet. I just washed it as well." "Thanks. I owe you one." "Just don't destroy it." "I'll try."
Dinner was a quiet affair like usual, and Charlie grumbly took in the fact that there was no meat on the table, but he did end up complimenting Eleanor on the pasta. It was one of Bella's and Eleanor's favourites, and he would have to live with this being served multiple times. The night was quiet, but it was the first night Eleanor had dreamed of Jasper Hale. He was standing there, in a clearing full of flowers and trees and rocks. Everything sparkled and reflected with morning dew as it was all hit by sunlight. It was tranquil, everything so undisturbed. Jasper Hale was right in front of her, dressed in a loose white shirt and looked at her with a lot of care and his beautiful, signature smile, his pearly white teeth shining almost as much as his golden eyes. He carefully touched her shoulder, his cold hand slowly tracing her arm before he pulled her in and kissed her. It was then that the scene changed. As he pulled away, Eleanor found herself in a dungeon almost, no light entering it, and she could see a hoard of people, all stacked together. They were lifeless. As Eleanor raised her gaze to meet Jasper's eyes once more, his golden eyes were gone, replaced by a set of hauntingly, dark red eyes, blood smeared around his mouth. With a gasp, Eleanor pulled away, looking towards the stack of people once more. Upon closer look, she could see her mother, her dad and her sister lying amongst them. As Eleanor started to scream, she raised her hands to pull them in front of her face, only to see they were drenched in blood.
