"So, lead the way malady" He bowed. I chuckled and took him to the cafeteria. Looking at the menu, a disgusted expression took over my face. "The food here looks awful,"

"It is a hospital after all," He replied, slightly chuckling. 

His chuckle arose the butterflies in my stomach. It's so cute. He broke my thoughts by continuing, "There is a restaurant across the street, wanna go there instead?" I nodded in response. We both exited the vicinity while I sent Thomas a quick message so he won't be worried and asked him if he needed anything. 

Thomas

Hey

I am going to the restaurant across the street to get some food

Do you need anything?

I didn't really wanna tell Thomas about Jake, yet. I wanted him to stay with Hannah, instead.

Okay but stay safe and gimme a call if you need me 

Be careful

I know he is gone but I still want you to be safe

And no I don't want anything rn

I smiled at his words. He's always so thoughtful and treats me like a little sister.

Okay and I'll be safe, dw :)

I looked up from you phone and slid it in the pocket of my jeans. I looked over at Jake and passed him a a gentle smile, causing him to smile back. I noticed our fingers brushing against each other's, causing my face to heat up. Apparently, Jake noticed it as well as he gently took my hand in his and laced them together. I looked at your hands and back at him with a huge smile on my face. His eyes had a sweet glint in them, they shone with love and warmth. He looked mesmerizing.

We reached the restaurant and sat at a table. Jake gently pulled his hand away to sit, causing me to involuntary frown at the loss of touch. I'm guessing Jake noticed since he took it back and started gently forming small shapes on the back of my hands. The waitress came and took our order and as she left, I found yourself staring at Jake again.

I was now noticing every little detail about his face — His flawless skin that looked soft like silk. His deep blue eyes, long black lashes. The small array of soft freckles that were settled over his pale skin. His slightly rosy pink cheeks, his soft pink lips and his black, luscious hair that had soft curls to them. I couldn't believe he was actually in front of me. I actually thought I was in a dream.

"If this is a dream, I never want it to end." I suddenly blurted out. It took me a second to realize what I had just said and when I did, I just covered my face with my hands out of sheer embarrassment. "Me too." He softly said, taking my hands away from my face and planting a small kiss on my forehead. My cheeks were practically burning hot and I'm sure I looked just like a tomato in that moment.

My trans was broken by the waitress coming back with our food. We both started eating in silence. It wasn't an awkward, though, it was comfortable. Although I did break it when curiosity got the best of me. "I never took you to be the tattoo type," I commented, causing him to chuckle. "Well, take me as one now."

A/N don't come after me, people wanted Phil for the tattoos so I gave Jake some because I am a simp hehe.

"I sure will," All of a sudden I got an eerie feeling that caused me to frantically whip my head to your sides trying to spot him. But to my relief, I didn't. 

I let out a sigh of relief. "Are you okay?" Jake asked, a concerned look on his face. "He is gone now, Y/N, gone for good." He assured me, putting a hand on my shoulder and pulling me close. 

I let my head rest on his shoulder for a while before proceeding with our meal. After a while of chatting, talking about the MWAF and other random things, we headed to pay the bill.

"Here," I murmured, handing my card to the cashier but Jake put my hand down and handed her the money instead. "I was going to pay." I pouted, crossing my arms over my chest. "Not on my watch, princess." He replied, chuckling, his words causing me to blush and look away. "You two make a cute couple," The cashier commented, handing Jake the change. And I was once again, burning hot. I looked over at Jake who had the same flustered look on his face. 

"Thanks." He replied awkwardly. Honestly, I shocked by his reply. We headed outside when I decided to confront him about it. "Why did you say thanks when we aren't a couple?" He looked over at me, frantically replying, "I am sorry if that made you uncomfortable. I am so sorry, I should have thought. I was just-" I don't know what came over me but I stopped him by putting a finger up to his lips. Feeling a sudden pang of confidence, I leaned in and kissed him. 

And although it took him a moment to register it, he kissed me back.

The kiss was gentle and his lips were soft and warm just as I had expected. We pulled away, grinning like little kids after getting their favorite toy. Although the kiss was short, it was sweet and comforting — exactly what I needed. It practically sent me into bliss. He looked me in the eye and kissed your forehead. We laced our hands together and started walking towards the entrance of the hospital.

But as we reached, we saw him. Standing there looking at the both of us. Shit.

Don't hate me for the cliffhanger please. But yes, this is the end of chapter two. Thank you so much for reading I really appreciate it. I will try to update as frequently as possible. I love all of you <3
