When you walked into your shared home you expected to see Calum sitting in the living room watching his favorite show along with Duke cuddled up next to him. But, thats not what you saw, Duke had been napping on the couch but Cal was no where to be found. You walked into the bedroom to see if you could find him, Duke trailing behind, and that's where he was.
"Cal?" You ask quietly in case he was sleeping seen as he hasn't been sleeping much lately. He didn't answer so you figured he was sleeping and started walking out of the room when you heard him sniffle. You walk over to the bed and sit down next to him, placing your hand on his shoulder over the blanket.
"Babe? Are you okay?"
He didn't answer, he just shook his head yes.
"Calum, I know your not okay. What's wrong baby, talk to me."
"It's nothing Y/n." He responds quietly not trusting his voice.
"It's obviously something if your crying, if you don't want to talk about it right now, that's okay just tell me. If you just don't want talk to me about it, please talk to someone." You squeeze his shoulder reassuringly, kissing him on the temple. You go to walk away when he puts his hand on yours. He rolls over wrapping his arms around your waist, resting his head on your stomach and completely breaks down, sobbing. You wrap your arms around him, holding him. After he calmed down enough to where his sobs are whimpers.
"Do you want to tell me what got you so upset?" You say kissing his forehead.
"It's my mom, she's sick. She's dying." He could barely say the last word, he started crying again unable to control his emotions. You slide down in the bed enough that his head could rest of your chest. You wrapped your arms tighter around him kissing his head occasionally.
