Parenthood

The News

It was a windy night, the cold crawling against the frigid wood flooring. Winry had already cleaned up and ate dinner, it was a normal day for her.. yet it was a little lonely.. Edward had been gone for 3 weeks for studying in Drachma... she needed to feel his warmth against her.. she was laying limp in the cold bed, she shivered and yawned. She got up and went into the bathroom to take a hot shower.....

Edward put the key in the door and opened it, he walked in quietly and shut the door. He had finally came back from drachma for good. He went to the kitchen quietly and got out  a botlle of water. He took a couple of sips and sat it on the counter, he took off his brown overcoat and sat it on one of the chairs. He started up the stairs, every movement making the stairs creak. He finally made it up the stairs and opened the door slowly. He expected to see her blue eyes but saw nothing but the bed, he sighed slightly and unchanged. He rested his brief case on the desk and plopt onto the bed, tired and exausted. He hadn't been able to sleep all through the trip, he can only sleep when he is around winry.. 

After a little bit of resting he heard the shower turn off and he froze, then a smile graced his lips and he laid back waiting to see her come out. After a couple minutes The beautiful Blonde girl came out of the steaming bathroom, using a wide comb to untangle her blonde locks, she didn't expect to see edward laying in bed and when she did she froze for a moment, but suddenly dropped her comb and squealed "EDWARD" she jumped onto his lap and hugged him tight, her dripping wet hair covered them both and she smelt so amazing, like cherries and the left over of motor oil. Ed tilted her chin and placed his lips gently on hers and smiled pulling away "hey win... I missed you" he held her. She sniffled and hugged back, then pulled away and slapped his shoulder "you need to tell me when you get back ed!" she kissed his face everywhere.

He chuckled "well I wanted to surprise you". Her smile slowly faded and she looked at him slightly serious. "E-Ed... I also have a surprise for you too" she said nervously. Ed scrunched his eyebrows together and looked at her curious "What is it?" Before she could answer he felt wet drops fall onto his hand, he noticed she started to sob softly. He caressed her cheeks with both hands and kissed her tears away "winry? whats wrong?" he said softly.. "I-if i tell you.. Y-your gonna l-leave " she cried. Before she could finish crying he kissed her passionatly on the lips. "Of course I wouldnt winry, Til death do we part remember.. I ment that " he said softly. She looked at him with her ice blue eyes and smiled gently.. "me too..." she inhaled and looked at her hands... "E-Ed... Im Pregnant....." she mumbled at looked at him fearfully. Ed's eyes widened and he stopped breathing for a moment. P-pregnant?!? I-IM gonna be a d-dad?!?!? Ed blinked and his jaw dropped slightly, looking at her flat stomach. Winry felt saddened by his reaction when she felt his tears drip on her hands. "E-Ed?" she looked at him, before she could think Ed started to laugh happily and he gripped winry into A tight hug "O-OH MY GOD! WINRY... " he laughed and cried into her shoulder, which made her cry too.. I-im glad your happy " she smiled "happy?! I'm  thrilled winry!" he smiled and kissed her face all over. "Wow... a baby.." he rubbed her belly gently. Winry jumped up and latched her arms around his neck "Im so happy edward... I love you" she whispered. "I love you too winry.. so much" he kissed her ear and down to her neck, making her shutter. Ed yawned and laid back with her "lets get some sleep.." he said softly. Winry nodded, curling up next to him. Ed reached over and turned off the lamp, the room going dark for the night.
