Once (name)'s vision was cleared, she was met with a white-haired boy being held back by a blond child who was trying to prevent him from beating up a small boy with black hair in a ponytail.

Around them, the other children watched with interest and fear. No one seemed to notice the new arrival of (name), except for a man with black hair up to his chin.

"Rengoku, thank you for stopping Sanemi." he spoke with an angelic voice. "And Sanemi, that was extremely rude. Tomioka didn't do anything to you."

"He peed on my toy!"

"Now, now... there's no need for that attitude." the man scolded gently, before he turned to the frozen (name).

"My apologies, you are (name) (last name), correct?" he asked, approaching (name), "I'm Ubuyashiki Kaguya, I'm sorry you have to witness something like this on your first day."

"You must be the caretaker assigned to my lovely children."

With his words, everyone turned their heads to see their new caretaker. There were a few faces of confusion, anger, and awed gasps. Though, none of them were too happy with someone other than Kaguya watching them

All the previous caretakers left or abandoned them. This made the children grow a sense of distaste to any stranger that was assigned to them.

It's not like this girl will be nice to them.

She'll want to leave the next day.

Though it was rather nice to have a young woman take care of them, instead of a crusty, crinkly, creep like Douma - who was fired.

"N-no it's fine, they're all adorable." (name) said quickly.

"Adorable?" the children tilted their heads.

"He's cute!" (name) gushed innerly, but shook her head, "stop it (name)! He's married to Amane!"

"Everyone, gather around please. Someone new has come to join your family." Kaguya clapped his hands.

With one clap, everyone seemed to calm down and gathered around (name) and Kaguya. Their "innocent" eyes stared into (name)'s own ones, as they waited for whatever that's going to come.

"She's going to be taking care of you all, until you're all adopted." Kaguya explained, "(name), can you please introduce yourself?"

"Hello, I'm (name) (last name). It's a pleasure to meet you all! I hope we can make memorable memories together with the time we have!" (name) smiled and gave a bow.

The children blinked at how nice her voice was. She was also really pretty. Uzui smirked as he thought of "other" memorable memories they can make, but Shinobu stomped her foot on his before his mind got worse.

"Nice to meet you (last name)-san!" they chimed, causing an arrow to shoot in (name)'s chest.

"These children call themselves the Hashiras." Kaguya smiled at (name), and she blushed at how cute these kids were.

How could these cuties be brats?

That girl must've been drunk.

Or got dumped by her boyfriend.

"Kya~ you're so pwetty!" the pink hair girl squealed, making (name) smile at her.

"Thank you! You're pretty too!" (name) replied, and the pink hair girl jumped up and down happily.

She was the first person to call her pretty...

"Pwetty ugly..." the white hair boy muttered, though he kept glancing back at (name).
