season five

jack langdon had just been freed from hell after he was tortured by the remaining princes of hell and mentally tormented by lucifer himself who still held power over him. jack is promoted from his prior job as an errand boy to bring the souls of monsters to hell and onto being one of lucifer's right hands. he worked with meg masters at this time, though the two of them were never on good terms. meg was fighting with lucifer because of her own faith in him and jack was only doing it because he was promised his freedom as long as he made up cases for the winchesters to solve. he killed humans in this season, the kills were similar to other monsters to send the brothers on a wild chase. regardless, he remained optimistic and brutal with a desire to inflict pain on others in exchange for his freedom.

season six

lucifer has been safely trapped in his cage with sam winchester and michael trapped with him, jack has tried to stay away from hell and is currently on the run from an angry crowley for being a previous lucifer loyalist. luckily for him, his previous job was unknown amongst hell and for safe keeping, jack hid his dagger that could trap supernatural souls away. all they knew of was his past connection to lucifer. the only character he truly keeps in contact with is meg masters who did know of his job; she asks him for things, hex bags, warding sigils, spells to keep her hidden and in return she doesn't turn him in to crowley and his semi loyal court. in the episode "caged heat" they attempt to see what the king is planning. jack gets overpowered and is tortured, but secretly he harbors envy toward crowley for resisting lucifer in his peak and rising so quickly; he escapes. he starts to think that maybe he should finish some business of his own starting with his coven.( mentioned in spn wiki. )
