Chapter 4
“I know right? Not that I really care for Vicky or anything, but she is Matt’s sister. I hope she’s okay…” I said over the phone to Elena while attempting to make a pizza and failing with Bonnie and Caroline. After the incident I ended up going home after Bonnie telling me she was going to stay and let Caroline sober up then take her home. At that I just went for a walk to a secluded park to watch the park, which wouldn’t have been creepy if there wasn’t some creepy ass crow watching me, giving me shivers and stuff.
“Why isn’t she here? Caroline asked snottily.
I rolled my eyes at her tone but asked Elena why she wasn’t seeing as I was curious too, “Yeah, Ellie why aren’t you here?”
“Sorry guys, but I had to do something to day. Lately I’ve had a lot on my mind with Stefan and all..” She said with a sigh.
I smiled into the phone glad Stefan was able to take Elena off depressed central like everyone was doing for me by simply being around. “Yeah, gotcha. But if you ever need to talk I’m here for you. You know you can tell me anything?”
“Yeah, of course Mellie.” She said warmly.
I sighed, “By the way, you and Stefan… So cute!” I squealed when Caroline joined Bonnie in my living room.
She laughed, “Thanks, but I don’t know how long this will last, I mean, he keeps all these secrets and I’m not sure what to think of it…” She said sadly.
“Well, you guys did kind of just meet. Just give him some time, I’m sure he’ll open up to you. Just like I’m sure you opened up to him.” I replied calmly. Poor Elena, chooses the most mysterious guy and wonders why he keeps secrets… I shook my head at that thought holding back a laugh.
“Yeah, maybe your right.” She said with a sigh but it sounded like she was moving around. “I’m going to go see him today. Call you later?”
“Sure thing girly, but next time I have a pizza disaster I expect you here too with flour all over your face!” I said smirking.
She laugh like I expected, “Yeah, sure Mel. “ She said giggling.
I was about to hang up when Bonnie comes up behind me with a small cup of water and throws it at me. I scream loudly probably busting Elena’s ear drums. “BONNIE BENNETT YOUR DEAD!!!” I screamed loudly in anger as she did her little ‘hit and run for your life’. “Bye Elena, I have a Bennett to fry!” I said angrily hanging up before she could ask questions. The ‘pizza’ was in my oven for now so I had time to kill Bonnie then yell at Caroline for not helping me.
“This bitch…” I muttered holding a cup filled with way more water. I looked in the front yard finding Caroline with no Bonnie, which made me mad.
“Care! Where’s Bonnie!?” I screeched frustrated. She looked over at me with a smirk and shrugged. I blew an angry breath and as soon as I turned around, just as I expected, Bonnie comes out of random bushes with a war cry with Caroline right with her, “Aha!” I yell throwing water at the both of them then ducking the water they threw at me. I threw my water hitting them both head on and they both screamed at the coldness.
Hours later we were all dry and it was about 5:00pm. “Well, for a pizza disaster it could’ve tasted worse.” Bonnie giggled out. Caroline nodded, “True.” She said looking at her phone when it vibrated. She jumped up quickly with a eager smile, “Ooh, I gotta go talk to you guys later!” She said with a big smile grabbing her things and leaving before anyone could say anything. “….Oookayy… Either Caroline has to home at a certain time, which is unlikely, or she has a guy.” I said awkwardly. Bonnie laughed at me, “yeah probably. Hey, now that we’re alone can you answer me honestly?” he asked seriously. I nodded, “Yeah sure BonBon.”
