Jisoo quietly closed the front door behind her as she stepped inside. Her shoulders were heavy after the long stressful day that she had.

She's spent countless hours in the studio and practice over the last few days, spending more time in both of those places than she has at home. She feels guilty, especially since she's been missing out on quality time with the both of you. But these things are out of her hands.

She planned on coming over and staying the night with you both tonight. Although she's much later than she thought she'd be. It's nearing midnight and surely, you and Aiden are sleeping. But she wanted to be with you nonetheless.

She made her way up the stairs and peeked into Aiden's room. He was sleeping soundly, the stuffed animal she got for him the day she met him curled up to his chest. His night light was on but otherwise, his room was dark and he was sleeping peacefully.

She smiled to herself before making her way to your room just across the hall. She thought you'd be asleep, but you were awake. The door was only open a crack but she saw you sitting on the bed with the lamp turned on.

"Hey, baby." She smiled and closed the door behind her almost completely before coming over to you.

But you looked anything big happy.

When you lifted your head, she noticed the hint of sadness in your eyes. She frowned and sat beside you, only for you to pull away with a scoff.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"What's wrong? Seriously, Jisoo? Do you know what time it is? Do you know how many days it's been since we last saw you?"

"Sorry." She mumbled, looking at you in slight confusion. "I've had a few busy days."

"Yeah, so I have. You also said you'd be here earlier today. It's close to midnight and you're just showing up now despite Aiden looking forward to you being here early!"

"Y/N, I said I'm sorry. What more do you want from me? I'm an idol, my job and my life are insanely hectic. I'm trying my best."

"I never said you weren't trying your best. It's just that he was so crushed. He misses you and so do I!"

Jisoo groaned and tangled her fingers in her hair.

"You haven't even called much..."

"Because I'm busy!" She repeated with a huff. "What don't you understand about that?"

"Too busy for us? To call? To FaceTime? Just for five minutes? It's not just me that cares deeply for you, Jisoo. You're a huge role model for him. He adores you. He's heartbroken that you don't talk to him."

She knew you were right but she really didn't want to admit it. Because she feels guilty enough and knowing she's so busy that she hasn't had much time for the both of you lately makes her feel awful.

She shook her head with a groan while you stood across the room. You looked away from her, neither of you looking at the doorway.

But you heard a sniffle coming from there and Jisoo did too. Both your heads quickly turned to find Aiden standing in the doorway. His bottom lip trembled as tears ran down his cheeks.

"Oh, buddy," Jisoo mumbled sadly, stepping closer to him.

"Are you leaving?" He whispered quietly, causing Jisoo's heart just shattered.

"No." She said as she knelt in front of him. "Never in a million years. Why would you think that?"

You knew it was just because he's never had a second parental figure in his life. Arguing wasn't anything he was aware of, really.

You know it's a lot to adjust to as far as another person in his life and Jisoo means so much to him. So he probably got scared and it breaks your heart just thinking about it.

"Come here." She whispered softly and opened her arms for him. As soon as he was in them, she wrapped them around him tightly in a big hug.

"I'm sorry." You spoke from across the room, happy to put your pride aside if it means always having Jisoo and your son staying this happy. "I know you're busy. I know I can't even begin to fully understand all you go through. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too. Yeah, I'm busy. Being an idol isn't easy. But you and Aiden are two of the most important people in my life and nothing else matters to me right now than proving that."

She hugged Aiden close and rubbed his back as he clung to her.

"I don't have tomorrow off, but I do have the day after off. Maybe we can have a little family day together. We could do whatever the both of you want. How's that sound?"

Aiden lifted his head to look at her with big eyes and a bright smile.

"And I promise to make time during the day to call and FaceTime when I'm busy. You two are my whole world. That is the very least that I can do."

You wanted to cry. Your heart was just so full of love for her.

"Now, I know I wasn't here to tuck you in tonight. Can I make that up to you now?"

"Story, too?"

"Sure," she giggled to the little boy gazing at her with hopeful eyes.

"And a song?"

"Anything your sweet little heart desires."

He took her hand and tried to pull her out of the room.

"Wait for just a second, honey." She laughed and turned to you, waving you over.

When you were close enough, she kissed your lips lovingly.

"I'm sorry again. Let me make it up to you after I tuck him in,"

Aiden shook his head, correcting her.

"And singing him a song and telling him a story."

You laughed and nodded happily.

"Cuddles and a movie until we fall asleep?"

"Sounds perfect. I'll be waiting. Take your time."

You kissed her once more before Aiden was tugging at her hand and pulling her out of the room, making your heart feel as though it'd burst as you realized just how in love you were with her.
