A gross feeling began to bubble in the pit of my stomach as the awful screeching of monsters continued to pierce our ears, echoing through the woods surrounding. The thought of coming across another Demogorgon, possibly multiple, made all the feelings of fear and terror from last year come rushing back and I felt my body begin to tremble.

What if Will actually was in that lab? I thought. I felt the breathing in my throat hitch in a panic as I turned back to Seve, my hands balling into fists. "Okay, will someone please tell me what the fuck is going on? What's with the bat, Steve?" I pressed him, my nostrils flaring.

"It's my fault," Dustin butted in, the slight shame becoming present within his tone. "I found something in my garbage can a few days ago. I thought it was just a cool lizard, so I kept him. But each day, he got bigger and bigger and then he ate my damn cat today before escaping. He turned out to be a demogorgon and he's got some friends."

"We tried to trap them at the junkyard but they got away," Steve countered with a shrug. "So we followed them here."

"Seriously, Steve?" I questioned the boy I still didn't really care for, looking over to him as if he was two-headed before lowering my voice, slightly, "Don't you remember what we were up against last year? Why the hell would you put the kids in danger like this?"

"Hey, man. Don't you dare yell at me," Steve warned, taking an intimidating step towards me. "It was their idea. I just tagged along to make sure they didn't do anything stupid. Maybe we wouldn't even be in this situation if you guys would've been here the past few days! Seriously, where the hell have you guys been?"

"We were figuring out some things about Barb," Nancy sneered his way, crossing her arms across her chest. "Figuring out things you seemed to not really care about."

Ah, great. Here we go.

Steve placed his hands on his hips, popping his hip out to the left, "I never said I didn't care, Nance," He defended, shaking his head.

"Well, you sure as hell never acted like you did!" Nancy shouted in response.

I rolled my eyes at how childish the two were acting, taking a step between them to subdue the bickering. "Guys, not now," I told them, placing my hand on Nancy's shoulder to push her back.

"You never even cared about Barb, did you?" Nancy continued to try and pick a fight with Steve over my shoulder, shrugging my arm off of her.

"Seriously, you two, be quiet," Dustin butted in. "The Demogorgon's could be near."

"Of course I cared!" Steve defended, completely ignoring Dustin.

"Bullshit!"

"Guys!" Casey suddenly shouted, causing everyone to turn their attention to her. "Shut the hell up and check this out." She then pointed up the hill to the lab and my eyes began to widen as the lights of the building began to turn on, one after another.

"The power's back," Nancy realized.

In a split second, I turned on my heel and practically sprinted back over to the security booth. I instantly found the button to the gate on the wall again and began to frantically push it. The gate still wasn't opening for some odd reason, "What the...?" I mumbled.
