after that girlfriend incident, xiao has been especially quiet. you and maki mostly kept up the conversation that day while he stared off in the distance with a troubled look. it's not like he didn't like your friend, he in fact said that she was okay. the problem is that he was generally so silent. he didn't even respond to any of your stories, when he usually does.
it kept bugging you because you were back to school now, it's been two weeks since you last hung out with him. you practically missed the boy. he was acting really, really distant.
today, you returned to school. he didn't eat lunch with you because he mentioned that he had plans with a friend. you didn't really mind, and you assumed it was venti.
the school was already making plans and preparations for the school festival next next week, and it was obvious that a lot of people were excited.
because of this, you were dismissed early. you wanted to go home, but you waited for xiao. he was assigned to run an errand for the class, which was to inform the other class representatives that your class has decided on the roles.
the play was based on a story where twins lost each other, as the other twin embarks on a journey to search for his other twin. (basically the genshin storyline, lol)
