Uraraka's POV
'Wha-what's going on?!', I asked, bewildered. It was after school. Of course, everyone would have zoomed out of the classroom, but today was a little different. A horde of students blocked the doorway of the classroom. It looked like there were more coming. All of them were whispering and pointing at us. It was so weird.
'No way out!!! What are they doing here?!', Mineta whined.
'It's obvious, small fry. Scooping out the competition. 'Cuz we are the kids who survived a villain attack ', Bakugou said. He moved to the door. 'No point, though. Move aside, idiots!!'
'Bakugou!! You can't just call people "idiots". Be more respectful!!', Iida waved his hands around. 'Whoa whoa, Kacchan. Let's not make others as our enemies ', Deku try to reason with him.
'It's true we came to look at you. But you sure are modest. Are all the students in the hero's course like this?', the crowd parted around two students. He had purple hair, kinda looked like it defied gravity. He looked like he never had a wink of sleep in his life. The other one was blonde, his expression like the ones portrayed by emperors in history books. "I am the ultimate, and your nothing", kinda look. I shuddered inwardly.
'Well, not really. I bet it's only the students of 1-A ', the other guy said.
'To be honest I was expecting 1-A to be kinda...I don't know... Heroic? But all I see is a cocky brat.'
'Ther are some kids who didn't make it to the hero's course. They got stuck in other courses. Depending on the sports festival results, we may be transferred to the hero's course. The Sports festival is a good opportunity to knock you off your pedestal. Consider this a declaration of war.'
'It will be easy to knock you guys out. To think you're the class that fought and defeated villains. How pathetic!!', The blonde guy stated. The students started whispering again.
'Hold on. What are you saying? We? Easy to knock out? Is something wrong with your eyes?', another voice said behind me.
Nashi-san was behind me, her hands on her hips. Despite being insulted, she smiled like the sun.
Yes, Nashi!!! Tell them to go away!!
'I know the sports festival can form rivalries, but this is kinda too much ', she said. 'But I won't tell you anything. Because I will be happy to face you on the battlefield!!', she grinned. Everyone sweatdropped.
Forget what I said now.
'Nashi-san. You can't say that-', I started. 'Hold on ', she said. pointing a finger at me. She turned back to the two arrogant students.
'Now I won't mind being insulted. But my friends don't deserve to be treated that way.'
They chuckled. 'And since you're soo sure you'll win this war, let's make a deal ', She ticked out her fingers. 'If you win, or get ahead of me, I will...um...', She thought for a minute. Everyone was quiet as a mouse.
'I know!! I will give up my place in the hero's course!!!'
WAIT. WHHHHAAAAAAAATTTTTTT???????!!!!!
Everyone was shocked. The two students went still. The blonde guy revived from the shock first. 'As if giving up your place in the course is gonna do us any good.'
'Okay. Fine. I will leave U.A. forever. How does that sound?'
Silence. Whispers roused up. Everyone in the class was stunned. Even Bakugou looked speechless. 'Dragneel-san. It is unwise to make such a rash bet. Please reconsider your-', Iida started.
