Chapter 6

Last night I kept on praying to God for Haruto to change his mind about me coming with him to Jeju.
What are my reasons why I won't come?

Well one, I don't want to be a third wheel. Two, I want Haruto to have fun with his girl alone. Three, I wouldn't do anything there besides locking myself up in the room. Lastly, I need to work and save up money.

It's been two days since Haruto slept in my house, since then we haven't seen each other. We only talked over the phone because he had some things to work on. On those two days, one question kept on repeating on my mind.

Who is the girl?

I haven't seen Haruto checking out on someone. Even if he did, I am very sure he would tell me, or maybe. I'm so curious on who she is. The only thing I know is that she is pretty, like Haruto said. If she is from our school it would be difficult to find out because there are many pretty girls there also Haruto doesn't stare at girls.

Is she tall? Is she rich? What is her name? How old is she? Does she know Haruto likes her? Will Haruto confess to her?

Am I being crazy?

It's so hard to have a best friend who is very mysterious. I mean, I could ask Haruto stuffs but I don't want to invade his privacy. It's better if I just wait for him to share to me.

Packing the last shirt on my luggage, I zipped it and locked it. I moved it near the door so that I could easily bring it down. Mom is in my room, she helped me pack with my stuffs for the trip. Haruto invited her to come with us but she said she was too busy to come.

She's now placing the hangers in my closet and came back with a leather coat. She placed it on the top of the luggage after that she sat down beside me on the bed.

"You're all packed right? You didn't forget something?"

I nodded at her. "I'm so excited for your trip! You need to relax and have fun sometimes!" she exclaimed.

I pouted, "Wouldn't it be better for me to stay here and study?" and work.

"Nope! You are too focused on your studies. I want you to enjoy your life. Yes your studies are important but enjoying your life is more important to me. Don't be too hard on yourself." she patted my head.

"But I really want to stay here. I don't want to be a third wheel." I complained.

"Haruto mentioned to me that Doyoung is coming. Perhaps his girl would come too."

"You know about the girl he likes?"

She smiled, "Of course! Me and his Mom are talking about it! Finally that boy is having an interest on someone. He is focus on his studies ever since he was a little boy. How about you baby? Are you liking someone at the moment?"

I shook my head, "I don't have time for that."

"You do have time for that but you just don't want to." she hugged me by my side, "I want to see you date someone before I get really busy. I'm afraid that I might not have time to take care of you."

"I'm already big Mom. I can manage alone."

"Junkyu-ah. Sometimes, we need to lean on to someone. It's okay to be independent, but it is better if someone is with you because you can't always do some things alone."

"I guess you're right."

She looked at me with a teasing look, "When you come back, I want you to tell me that you like someone. And no you can't act, I know you Kim Junkyu."

"Mom! I don't want to and besides who in the world would like me?!"

"Oh hush! A lot of girls are sending letters in our house!"
