" ok how are we going to go upstairs?" jully asked as they arrived by the house. Cass came closer to her "easy, we are going to lie." she rang one of the neighbor's bell as she looked over the street making sure nobody saw them. "Hi. I'm from NYPD. can you open the door? I'm here to check the crime scene." said Cass. she didn't expect the women to believe her and thought she'd need to think of something else but " ok " said the man with a sleepy voice and opened the door. jully and Cass looked at each other surprised and went inside. Cass ripped the crime scene tape and kicked the door; judging by the way it looked, she hoped that the old-styled door would break but it didn't so she took a pin out of Jully's hair bun and stuck it into the key-hole. as the door opened and made a lot ofnoise, jully turned on her phone's flashlight and slowly stepped into the house. Cass followed jully inside and took some gloves out of her packet. " take these jully, it's an open case" and handed Jully the gloves. they started looking around the house. it felt kind of terrifying to be in a dead person's house. Cass turned and looked at jully with a worried look on her face. "they took the body right?" and jully shook her head meaning yes. cassie took out her phone and started taking pictures of everything; two glasses of wine, her clothes on the floor, the condom in the garbage can. as jully heard the police siren, she looked down the window. "fuck Cassie, Leo's here"she whispered. "somebody called the police." as they were hurrying out of the house, something caught cassie's eye and she stopped. "what a fuck Cass, let's go"said jully nervously. Cassie gestured her hand meaning give me a minute and bent down toward a necklace on the floor. she picked it up and put it in her pocket. as they dashed out of the apartment, they came across Leo and Sentia. "don't move" shouted Leo. as Sentia arrested jully, Leo pushed her against the wall and came closer to her as cassie resisted to get handcuffed. "what the fuck are you doing Davis?" he whispered in her ear. in the station as cassie saw the faces of sleepy polices that stayed for the night shift, handcuffed to the seat in Leo's office, waiting for him to come; jully looked so scared and her hands were shaking "I don't wanna lose my job. oh fuck." she said as Leo entered the room and handed them tow bottles of water. cassie was sitting quietly looking down at her shoes, thinking about the necklace she found. she didn't tell jully what was in the necklace; some sort of dried flower, probably the poison that killed the girl or maybe all three girls. Leo stood behind his desk and slowly bent toward them. "Idk what you are trying to do" he looked at cassie "but I told you to stay away from this the first day we met." cassie didn't seem to care about anything that Leo said, after few seconds of silence " and you seriously thought I would stay from it just because you said so." said Cass. jully knew what was going on; she tried to stop Cass from making everything worse "ee..we..we justyou know...we wanted to take few pics for our..our article this week." she said anxiously." I didn't report you." said Leo. jully took a deep breath like life turned back to her body. " although; you might wanna talk to your boss tomorrow" he continued as heopened the handcuffs. "I'll see you around detective," said Cass as she lighted a cigarette and rushed out of the police station. "bye jully."Leo came out of his office and watched the girl in the tight black jeans and the leather jacket, walk out of the police station as she exhaled the smoke of her cigarette and her brown messy hair swung with the wind. she was a miracle, yet one driven to destruction.as cassie walked home and let the smoke poison her lungs, she was thinking about a lot of things; her job that she was gonna loos, the cases, the killer but on top of all of that she thought a lot about Harvey. just the thought of him was strong enough, not only to numb all the pain she was feeling but to make her feel something good. the butterflies in her stomach, the light in her eyes, and the unconscious smile on her face were last felt when she was 16 or something. it felt nice to let herself live something real after a while. she felt her heartbeat, the blood pumping through her veins and the smoke of the cigarette fill up her lungs. she arrived home near sunrise. she just took off her coat and fell asleep on her couch.(jully)jully rode her bike from the police station to her house. all the way she thought about that moment of her, cassie and Harvey; it was like a déjà vu from her high school days. this was who she was; the joules loser; the lonely stalker; the kind that was always there but never seen. "that's who I am" jully thought. "why do I keeppretending like I'm a nice person or a good friend. I'm the exact same person who fell in love with her best friend's lover and made a scene; I didn't even dare to do it. fucking pussy." she left her bike at the door and entered her flat as the flashbacks from her high school days were playing in her head like a movie."hey jully" her mother's voice from the answering machine freaked her out. "you didn't call me today, I was really worried. call me when you get home, honey. I and your father really miss you. I hope you are doing well." and the beep followed up her mother's soft voice that brought a smile to Jully's face. "Hey mom, it's really late so I didn't want to wake you up. things are great, I met a boy and he is really nice and he treats me really well. I'm really happy. I hope you guys are fine." jully left a message for her mom. she didn't know why she lied or why she needed to be loved so desperately; all she knew was that she hated herself; her brain, her heart, and her body. she hated every single thing that was related to her and she felt like she ruined everything she touched; at least maybe this little lie would make her mom feel better. she went to bed and tried to sleep as these thoughts and voices in her head wouldn't leave her alone.but even that long night, ended at some point; like every other never-ending that you would beg the sun to rise and the misery to end.......next morning, (Cass)as cassie strained her shirt to look for formal, she entered the office with all the disappointment of the world on her face. she looked at her room and she remembered the first dayshe met jully. she didn't have anything in her life but this job. "good morning Mr. Salazar. first of all, I wanted to apologize for what happened I assure you that this won't happen-"salazar intruppted cass. "Ms. Davis, this not the first time that you try to get involved in an investigation. I'm sorry but we can't continue to work with you. you represent our community, our newspaper with every single thing you do and I can't risk our reputation." he sighed and looked at jully. "in the other hand you Ms. Smith, you couldhave informed me about what Ms. Davis was about to do or you could stop her and yet you helped her?""y..yess..s..I...I should have..stop..stopped...her..b..but-" words barely came out of Jully's mouth. Cassie could see how her hands were shaking and she was trying to hide it. she wasn't as careless as Cass. "but I forced her to do it with me." Cass interrupted jully. "I needed somebody to help me and me...I...forced jully."Salazar looked at cassie with such a judgemental perspective. Cassie couldn't tolerate the tension in that room so she rushed out of the office. jully followed her. "Cass you don't need to do this.""you didn't need to help me investigate either." Cass replied and hurried out of that place. the next place she found herself was Harvey's door, listening to him play the piano. she knocked the door. "Ms. Davissss" he smirked. "miss me?" "can I come in?" she said. he gestured with his hand "come in ma'am."as cassie walked through the door and stood beside the window to watch the street; Harvey adored his new obsession. he cuddled her body from behind and came to the realization that nothing felt as good as holding her in his arms. he gently pushed her hair away and kissed the back of her neck.cassie felt like blood started flowing in her body again. as he ran his hands around her tummy; he caressed her shoulders and kissed her cheekbones. Harvey whispered in her ear as his warm breath boiled cassie's blood. "what did they to my Ms.Davis?" and hugged her tighter."talking about it, won't change anything" she sighed and she let his kisses take over her body. "do you want me to play something for you?" asked Harvey."no, I just wanna stay here, like this, forever." she replied. he kept caressing her hair tenderly. "promise?" he asked. "I promise. forever." Cass could hear his heart beating so fast, she could feel the blood that pumped through his veins, the oxygen that he inhaled and filled his lungs. she could feel something; maybe love, maybe not.she turned back and ran her hands through his fluffy black hair as she locked her eyes to his smoky eyes. "Who are you?" she asked. "the pianist." he answered."Who are you?" asked Harvey as he softly touched her lips. "I'm Ms. Davis" as she took off his shirt, "and I want more of the pianist." she whispered in his ears as she felt his warm skin on the tips of her fingers. Harvey was mesmerized by her beauty. ."I wanna be that cigarette you smoke, I wanna be the smoke that fills up your lungs and...cass I think your friend is here." said Harvey but suddenly his face took a serious lookas he saw jully standing across the street and looking at them through the window. Cass gathered herself up and looked at jully with a smile. "oh, I should probably go talk to her."(jully)she returned to her boss's office as cassie left. "I...I'm not gonna stay here if Cass is not here." her boss pointed to the door. "then leave. Cass isn't coming back and I don't have time for you and your friend's childish hero game. go". jully went to her and cassie's office as she and started packing their stuff. Cass left in such a hurry that she forget to take these. she packed them in a box and left the office as she said goodbye to all the beautiful memories they had. as she came out of the office she saw a winery across the street. she bought some wine hoping she would surprise cassie. as she arrived at her apartment she saw Cass and Harvey in his flat making love beside the window. they didn't even realize that she was there. jully stood there and watched them as the smile on her face slowly faded and a tear dripped down her cheek. she felt so heartbroken as she saw the connection between them. the lonely girl stood there holding a bottle of wine in her hand and watching the man she fell in love with yesterday, make love to her best friend. she looked a the scar on her hand, a scar from ten years ago that had faded from her hand but the memories didn't even fade a little bit. as Harvey realized she was standing there, she dried all her tears and tried to smile at Cass."hey Julls, why didn't you call me?" she asked. "come on it's cold outside don't wait here." they went up the stairs. "what's up why aren't you at work right now?" she asked as she tried to find the keys to her apartment. "that job doesn't mean anything without you" she answered and cassie hugged her so tight. "I can't believe you did this."jully wasn't so emotional; what she saw earlier, ruined her excitement. "I can't find these fucking keys."Harvey opened his door and came out of his flat as he was putting on his shirt. he swung cassie's keys. "they are here" he said. "I took them from your pocket but I'm not gonna give it back; because these two beautiful women are gonna be my guest today."Cass looked at jully nervously. "I mean if it's fine with jully." "yeah cool."as they walked into his flat, Jully watched Cass and Harvey; the way they touched each other, and the way they kissed. as she watched the charming man adore Cass, she felt pure jealousy. the whole time Cass and Harvey were taking each other's breaths away with hundreds of kisses, as jully lighted cigarettes. that evening she smoked more than she had ever smoked in her life and as they talked she would just answer with short sentences and drink some wine.after hours of drinking, smoking, pretending to laugh, and watching them make love, Jully felt sick. "thanks a lot Harvey. I"m going home. I'm really tired." said jully.people are never tired, but it's a great excuse. Cass put down the glass of wine she was drinking." you are so drunk, I can't let you do home like this." replied Cass."it's not the first time I'm getting drunk, don't make a big deal out of it Cass." as she walked toward the door, she took one last look at Harvey. "you have a nice tastein cigarettes." and she left. Cass followed her into the hallway. "jully, I'm not an idiot. I see how you look at him." whispered Cass. "It's not worth it jully." she looked at jully.jully had a gloomy look on her face. "whatever Cass. go back to your lover's arms" and she hurried out of the apartment.(Leo)he was sitting in his office looking at the crime board. "Sentia...Sentia" he shouted. "y..yess..ss..detective?" Sentia rushed into his room."look. look at this." he pointed to the crime board. "why are we so stupid Sentia?" he punched the wall. "why...are...we...so...fucking...stupid? this guy just kills threepeople and doesn't even clean the crime scene and yet why can't we figure it out?" he shouted."detective, we only have DNA and we don't have a system that we could just find anybody's DNA. we need a face." she replied calmly."camera records?""no. it was midnight and he was wearing a hoodie.""go to the crime scenes and get their neighbor's statements. see if they saw something. if any of them knew something useful, bring them here.""Ok. I'll take of it.""also Sentia, find this girls' address for me...cassie's"Sentia left the room and came back with a small piece of paper and handed it to Leo. "this is her address and phone number, detective." she wanted to leave but she had a moment of dought. "don't do anything stupid, Leo" she said with a friendlier tone and Leo barely saw a smile on her serious face.Leo sighed and looked at the address. he was sure that Cass found something in that crime scene; no way she would be clueless about what was going on and yet she would look at Leo with so much confidence on her face. Leo couldn't just wait here when he knew she had something. "god damn it Davis" he muttered under his breathe and left his office in a hurry.(Cassie)Cass watched jully leave as she was standing in the hallway and thinking about how heartbroken jully was. "Cass," said Harvey worriedly. "Cass are you guys fine?"he came out of the flat. "come on let's go inside; it's really cold here." he said tenderly and warmed cassie with a hug. "the wine really messed me up" said Cass as they walked inside. "I'm gonna make coffee for my one and only Ms.Davis". cassie's phone started ringing. "it's Leo. I'm downstairs. we need to talk." said Leo aggressively and he hunged up the phone. cassie looked really surprised. she looked out of the window; he was standing across the street."I need to go downstairs for a minute." said cassie rushing out. "It's about my job.""Ok. Ms. Davis." said Harvey as he was making coffee in the kitchen.cassie rushed downstairs. as she saw Leo, she rolled her eyes and sighed."What did you find there cass?" he asked impatiently. "we have no clue what's going on; I went over every case a million times. nothing." "you are freaking stupid detective." she giggled. "that's not my problem...Leo.""who's that in your house?" he pointed at Harvey who was watching them from behind the window. he smirked at Leo and took a sip of his coffee."None of your business, detective." she sighed and turned around to go back in. "cassie..." he pulled her hand to stop her. "you are now involved in the inves-" cassie interrupted her as she laughed sarcastically. "Stop bullshitting detective" she got closer to his face. "we both know why you are here tonight...and why you question the identity of my lover and let me assure you about this; other's might just fall for you golden hair and olive green eyes but I can see what an asshole you are. " as Leo loosened her hand she slightly pushed him away and went back inside. before she went back inside; she stopped for a moment. "by the way." said Cassie."even if I had found something, I'm not stupid enough to give to you." and she went up the stairs.once again Leo muttered under his breathe "god damn it Davis" and he walked away.
