Cassie is a writer in NY who writes crime news for a newspaper but things change when she starts to question a case and her life starts to slowly fall apart.

(Cass)The next morning as Cass woke up in Harvey's bed remembering all the exotic moments they had last night, she saw Harvey as he nervously looked for something. "what are you looking for?" she asked with a sleepy voice.
"m...mmm...my necklace...I had...a..long black...necklace...it...it...must..have..been..ee..missing...for a while and...I can't believe...I can't believe..it...I just...realized"
he said worriedly as he breathing heavily and running around the house."I never saw a necklace on you" she wanted to say but suddenly, a horrifying thought, cut her heart in half like a sharp blade.the sleepy vibe left her body and she crawled out of bed in such a hurry.
"we...made love..ee...e...in...front of the..ee...the do..oor the othe..eerr.. day...I'm just..I'll just check...there"
as she tried to gather herself up. Harvey was so busy being nervous himself that he didn't realize what was going on with Cass.Cass took her keys that were on the kitchen table and rushed into her own apartment. "Ok...calm down and....uh...where is my coat?" she talked to herself as she searched for the coat
that she wore the day she went to the crime scene. the mess in her bedroom made everything so much harder. she moved the clothes on her bed hastily. she found the coat and took out the necklace she found at the crime scene. "please no...god...please..." she muttered under her breath. she took unsteady steps toward Harvey's door. she knew she had to this; "rip it out, like a bandage cassie." she went inside with a deeply fake smile on her face.
no matter how much she would hate the answer she would get, she showed him the necklace. "is..ss..is it..ee...this...one?"her heart was pumping out of her chest and something heavy was on her throat; she could barely breathe. she pulled her eyebrows together. "Harvey?" she said.Harvey turned back and saw the necklace. "Omg yes. that's it. I can't believe it. where did you find it?"
Cass freaked out and froze; it felt like she fell down from a real high place and she wouldn't stop falling. like those dreams you have; that you fall down and you wake up when you hit the ground but Cassie didn't wake up because she didn't hit the ground, she kept falling down. horror took over her mind.
the girl who didn't seem to be heartless, now she had a broken heart and infinite love was pouring out of it. her mind and her thoughts stop; for a second all she hadwas feeling; a lot of feelings. the actual moment and what she felt was so different; in one second cassie experienced what she hadn't experienced in 26 years of life.
"It was right here at the doorstep." she said with a numb tone. "I...II...I...need to go and I..ehh...have things to do...see you later..uh" as she wanted to rush out
Harvey pulled her hand, kissed her cheek. "I love you" whispered in her ear. "I love you...I love you...I love you..." echoed in cassie's mind. her heart was screamingto say it back but she was so unsure and so emotional that she couldn't hold back her tears. she just left him and thought this would be the last time she saw him.she couldn't believe it, this wasn't how things would.
