38. It's too much to take in

Lena's POV ~
" So , that's how it went . Honestly I feel so different now ... And happy. " I just finished telling last night's incident to my sister . She seemed so happy after listening to me. I came home this morning , because last night I stayed at Evan's. His place is more comfortable , and gives a happy vibe.

It's been one week now since our date . Evan and I are getting along really well , apart from the time he has to spend in this office . I still don't blindly trust him , but I know , he is safe . We are not very romantic and cheesy type , rather we maintain a low profile. Our wedding hasn't been decided yet , but according to Maddie , my soon to be mother in law wants us to be together soon. Also they have some business plans , like merging our company ? Maybe she wants a heir too ? Things seem rushed and I need to get my mind out of it . But these past few days I have been thinking about him. Only him. I am both excited and nervous to start this new chapter of my life with him. After hearing his confession , I was dumbfounded for sure. But let's keep this behind. My parents have already started the preparation of my wedding , the venue , the dress , guests etc etc . They seem more excited than I do. The only thing I was asked if I want to announce my engagement publicly , but the type of person I am , the lesser people know about it , the better .
*Beep*
I looked around for my phone . I expected a text from only one person right now. And yes , it is him.

" Do you think we can meet today ?"
" Yeah sure.. but what's the occasion"

There was a long pause before he decided to text me again.

" Just , a small date . I wanted to see you . Wear something comfortable, it's a good place , you will definitely like it ;)"

" Oh ok. I will be ready on time "

I wonder what else is he planning . Dress something nice ? Well I guess , I have to impress him this time.

I shouldn't feel nervous but here I am again , back to square one. There's no one to help me. Even Ali is out with her boyfriend , which I haven't met with yet . Maybe I will do good. I don't want to trouble anybody .
For the start , I put on a beige pink maxi dress with small flower prints .
It has a small v neck which shows a bit of my boobs and spaghetti straps .

I pair it with beige stiletto heels and make a messy braid with nude makeup. A beige pink lipstick seems to go well with this outfit , and I am done.
Good work !! I know he will like it .

I wait for him in the hall and soon enough I hear a honk . Walking out of my house , I make sure to lock it properly and dust out the invisible dirt from my dress.
Seeing him in a white cardigan with rolled up sleeves makes my heart flutter .

He looks so fit and fine , I wish I could rip off his clothes . Maybe I should keep my dirty mind aside . I quickly walk over him , attempting to run but fail miserably.
"You look beautiful as usual " he smiles and , I am over the moon.
" You too " he could clearly see me blushing. He pulls me to his side and pecks my lips . This heart can't take this anymore. I want more that this . After pulling out I pretend to fix my dress , but actually I want to show my assets. And it works. He looks nervous as well . We get in his car .

After sometime we reach the place he has decided. This time it's a park . A lovely park again with those dangling fairy lights . And what else do I see ? A cute table decorated with flowers and candles .
" I like this place more . You know I love plants " I look at him and nod.
I love how he is so thoughtful. There are no people nearby , no fear of getting caught my media or fellow friends. It's so overwhelming, I want to cry . This place , Evan , this whole thing wants me to stay here forever.

We both sit on table but there's something else which surprises me . A waiter . I didn't know he arranged a real date , also with some good food. But , it's my favorite food .

" We are getting married soon, do you know about it ? " . We decide to walk around the place after eating and he surprises me with this question.
I look at him dumbfounded .

" Yes I know . Soon. But don't know how soon. There's nothing left for me to do , everything is arranged by our parents. The only thing I am doing is spending time with you "

He smiles wide and looks at me . " And that's the only thing you need to do. " Putting his arm around my shoulder he takes me to small dark place . Where are we again ?
I look at him questioning .

" The sooner we get married , the better . I want to be with you , and this desire is eating me up . So I am asking this again .."
He kneels down infront of me . What is happening ? Is it what I think it is ?
Suddenly the place lights up , giving it a aesthetic look . Looking down I find myself standing inside a heart shaped thin deck which is covered with rose petals . It is too much to take in . So beautiful. He takes out a velvet box out of his pocket and opens it revealing a small ring which is studded with Ruby and small stones beside it .
" I am asking again , will you marry me ? Are you willing to be on my side always ?"
That's it I can't take it anymore . I quickly kneel down and hug him tight. So tight , I almost pushed him to ground . And bursted our crying .

" Yes Evan. Yes . I will "
He pulls out for our hug and with glinting eyes , he puts the ring on my finger "

" I love you lena " and he joins our forehead together .
