Ok It's Hearthstone from 'Magnus Chase and the gods of Asgard' by Rick Riordan it's a good (but extremely WEIRD) book. If you have read the book you know what i'm talking about when I say, I added the loose thread on his scarf just to annoy Blitzen.
this is the first (successful) human art (or elf art) that I have done in this style, IDK what it's called, is it a form of anime? or is it just a cartoon style? SOMEBODY TELL ME. Also are his eyes green I HAVE NO IDEA. So many things are bugging me so somebody please answer my questions............ or I will go insane and no longer be able to make art.
about the actual art, the larger eyes did not fail and make it look evil, the shading does not look like scars despite my sisters input (when I was halfway through) ok you can never EVER judge an artists art when they are only halfway through. EVER. because half the time they (or at least I) end up erasing multiple features or even the whole thing before it's done. Ahem back to the topic HE DOESN'T lOOK OLD! despite the light hair and the facial lines which I am super happy about. You wanna know something really sad? the thing I had the most trouble with was the scarf. I mean, of all the things on this picture it LOOKS the easiest. ITS NOT!!!!
I just want to insert a lol after every sentence so you guys know I'm not trying to be scary but it looks very out of place so instead I just put this sentence so you know, i'm not trying to be scary.
idk what he's looking at. Maybe it's Jack, maybe it's the ceiling, who knows. (although he would be more likely to smile at the ceiling rather than Jack.)

EDIT: I did the thing a normal person would have done first and went to google and searched his eye color. Apparently it's gray???? which I guess makes the scarf even more so "his only splash of color" idk if I quoted that correctly. but guess what. I'M NOT CHANGING IT TO GRAY! no i'm not lazy. I just think he looks cute with green eyes!
Hearth is actually my second favorite character. My number one favorite is Alex Fierro but I have a feeling if I drew him/her I would fail. Maybe i'll try it later.
