My Comfort Character

I love him so much you can’t possibly compare
I long for his presence everywhere
His voice, his touch, I can never get enough
He is my everything!
My hope, my life, the very reason I hold on and live life
He keeps me rooted and keeps me sane

His  gentle touch and whispers when I wake
To his screams of joy that make my world shake
He holds me close and keeps me warm
He shelters me from the storm

The only one who can calm my demons
The only one who sees my beauty when I’m unable
He has given me love which I do not deserve
He helped me through my worst
He is the reason I have survived all the turmoil inside

He lies beside me while I fall asleep whispering sweet nothings and happy dreams
But the moment my eyes open at dawn the harsh reality comes crashing down

He isn’t real He is just a fictional character who you see in films
But even though he is fake It makes my heart break
My love for him is real my yearning for him is beyond what you can feel
He is my comfort in a world where I have none
The place I escape to when it’s all to much

They don’t understand the weight he holds
The things I would give up just to keep him close
But alas I can’t stay in land of dreams forever
I have to go and face the world head on
Just like you would have wanted
I yearn for the moment I can see you again
My comfort character, My everything
