1 year later, at Paradis Trost District HQ, 12:15 pm

It's been a year since I left Marley with my Mother and a lot of things happened in this past year, like how the third year's took about 2 months to finally accept me as their 'meant to be 1st year' batch mate, I also made friends which is Violet Hanes, Luke Hanes, and Dave Collin who just turned 15 this year and me, I turned 14, the youngest soldier known in Paradis who graduated last week, and the so called 'cadet in the shadows', in the first half of my training only the cadet soldiers were the only ones who called me the 'cadet in the shadows' but now the other high ranked soldiers and the citizens calls me that because of how I preferred to work silently like a shadow, we were usually scanned and checked how many of the fake titans we have killed and because of how I work silently, how i wear my black mask when training, and how I quickly manoeuvre my ODM gear, not even a single cadet can see nor follow me, no one knows how many I have killed and so they will just ask the soldiers who handles the movements of the fake titans we have to kill of how many did they saw me kill. I also found out the real reason why I ended up here with the third years, its because my so called 'uncle' requested it personally and the higher ranks agreed to it because they believe that I really do have a skill that is hard to compete with even if you're a third year. We're having lunch before we have our first expedition, all of us are eating and some were also laughing. "I still can't believe you catch up with Violet for the 1st ranking even though you joined us kinda late, now Violet is the 2nd.." Luke said while holding his fork, "yeah I also still can't believe it too, well you are good at almost everything, your so quick on using your ODM gear that we can't even catch up with you, then your knowledge is also unbeatable, how can someone have those abilities?.., you're also good at reading people and sensing.. you could probably sense us a mile away" Dave said as he munch on his bread while thinking. "just let it be, the 4 of us ranked close to each other so you 3 were also good.." I said calmly and continued on eating, "well.. at least I'm just a rank lower than (Y/n) so I'm fine with that.. while you two were ranked lower than us" Violet said proudly and continues on eating her mash potatoes, "hey!, I'm 4th and Luke's 3rd, we're not that low.." Dave protested. I continued on eating with a small smile on my face and just lets the 3 of them bicker at each other.

27 hours later, at Wall Maria, Shiganshina, 3:22 pm

We are now facing the people here in Wall Maria, we have finished our first ever expedition commanded by Commander Keith, we just got in Wall Maria, the new recruits, me, Violet, Luke, Dave, and other cadets from my batch joined the Survey Corps a week after of our graduation. They immediately put us here in this mission on going out the Wall and kill as much titans as we can because of how skilled the Top 5 of our batch and the others who joined the scouts. But unfortunately alot of us had died, mostly the new recruits from my batch, and some of our seniors, but luckily me and those three idiots survived, well.. Dave was kinda traumatized because a titan got a hold of him but i manage to save him just in time. We were on our horses while slightly looking down, "are you alright (Y/n)?.." i looked beside me and saw Erwin looking at me with worry eyes, Erwin was the first person who spoke to me when i joined in and he is like an older brother to me, he reminds me of my older brother when he was still alive. I slightly smiled at him and nod, he nod back then he looks at the opposite side of me when suddenly he looked down, i got curious on why Erwin suddenly looked down, i looked at where he looked at and saw two kids, a little girl with black hair and a little boy with brown hair and sad green eyes, the little boy looked at me but i broke our eye contact when i saw him smiling at me, then suddenly we stopped, i looked in front of us and saw Commander Keith with a old woman, the Commander then gave her something that is wrapped in a towel, "what's that Erwin?" I asked Erwin referring to that object the Commander gave the old woman, "that old woman is the mother of the owner of that arm.." Erwin said, 'so it's an arm wrapped in a towel?' I thought.
