Love Fever

- Chapter 2 -

As I enter the gate I see Kotetsu and Izumo by the gate, they both look in my direction and then they look at each other then back to me "I-I-your b-back Jirou?" Izumo sputters out. Kotetsu says "Wait you never told us you were coming back" I wink at them and put a finger up to my lips "Shhhhh-". They both blink and the slowly nod. I walk off further into the village getting some stares from some people.
"Stupid dog had to leave me by myself and I don't even have any money" I groan as my stomach starts to growl.

I pass by more food stalls making me more hungry. I stop in my tracks as I look up to a food stall "Ichiraku Ramen..." I push open the flap and walk in, the old man says "Welcome" without even turning around "Holy crap- Old man your still in business??" He turns around at the sound of my voice and says "Jirou!? Your still alive?!" I plop down on a stool and say "Obviously I never die" he chuckles and says "What can I get you?" I sigh and say "Actually I'm totally broke so I won't be getting anything" Old man frowns and says "Nonsense it's on the house" I perk up and say "Then I will have a extra large miso with pork" he laughs and says "You starting to sound like Naruto" I gasp and say "I've never heard such a name....plus I always get miso with pork" he chuckles to himself once more before turning around to make the ramen.

"One large miso with pork please Pops" I turn to see a kid staggering into the shop and popping down in the stool next to me. "Ahh Naruto, sure coming right up" Old man says. I look over to the kid and squint my eyes as I glare at him 'I was compared to this kid...THIS KID. I can't believe that old man comparing me to this guy. Sound like Naruto my ass HE sounds like me, no no no comparing this kid to me is too much of an honor.' I think to my self before the kid turns to me and starts glaring back. I tilt my head as I look at him more he does the same. "One miso with pork!!" Old man says.

The kid and I both raise ours hands and say "Mine!" I slam my fist down on the bar as Naruto gasps and yells "What do you mean its yours I ordered it!!" I scoff and say "I was here first! That one is mine!" we bicker back and forth before I say "Just take it you brat" he crosses his arms and huffs "No I don't want it anymore you take it" I roll my eyes "I said you take it kid" he shakes his head "No I don't want it you have it" Old man shouts "Here!! Two miso with pork bowls!!".

The kid and I both look up as he places one bowl down in front of us. I mutter "Thank you" as I break a chopstick and start eating. As I eat I glance over to the kid who is munching away happily. I glance down to his pocket which has a couple of green papers sticking out of it. Dollar signs pop out of my eyes, I clear my throat and say "Thank you Old man" and pass him the bowl he nods as he takes it.

I stand up super quick causing my water to fall off the bar. "AHH!! My clothes are soaked" the kid says, I gasp and say "Oh no! I'm so sorry! Here let me help" I press a napkin to his arm soaking the water off "Hey kid ask Old man for more napkins" he nods and turns his head up to Old man to ask. I swipe my hand down toward his pocket right before he hands me the napkins. I finishing soaking his arm and says "Sorry kid I didn't mean to get your clothes soaked" he nods and says "It's okay I was on my way home anyway" I turn to Old man and say "Thank you for the food" he smiles at me.

The kid hops up and starts to leave "Naruto!!" Old man shouts, the kid freezes and turns back around "Oh right, I forgot to pay" I chuckle and wave at them both before taking my leave. I exit the shop and start walking away. As I walk I glance down to my hand which now has 1850 yen (about 16 U.S dollars) and chuckle to my self. As I round the corner I hear a loud shout says "THAT OLD LADY STOLE MY MONEY!!!" I laugh again as I say "That's my cue" and I take off running through the streets of Konoha.
