James and I met two months ago outside the hotel. I was leaving after having a fight with my colleagues. I walked so carefully that I directly crashed into someone. Being interrupted, I was annoyed and started screaming and shouting at him. I vented my emotions while he stood still and listened to me silently after failing to stop or reason with me.

"Is that even right? I hate it! I did all the work but she took the credit! Is this fair to me?"

"No." He shook his head.

"Exactly! I tried to tell them, but what did they do?" And I started getting angry again while letting out all my emotions on a complete stranger. After I was finished, he offered, "Want some ice cream?"

I huffed and started walking. I stopped after walking a few steps and turned around to look at him. He noticed my glare and followed me to my favourite ice cream shop.

"You like this place?" he asked.

I said nothing but slightly nodded my head in agreement. He nodded his head in understanding and kept silent. I stole a glance at him and asked in my still angry voice that had no anger. "What will you have?"

"Anything."

I sneered and bought two strawberry flavoured ice creams. He wanted to buy, but was brutally scolded by me. I didn't understand why I snapped at him myself. But anyways, we both were walking on the street with light breeze relaxing both of us. I calmed down and paused. Wait, what? Who is he? Did I just bring an unknown person with me? Am I crazy? Obviously I won't agree. So, I looked at him through squinted eyes. "Why are you following me?"

"Are you much better now?"

"Huh?" I blinked my eyes twice and understood what he said. I felt a little embarrassed. "Yes."

"Good. Is your house near?"

"No."

"It's getting late. The bus stop is near."

I frowned. "You want to run away?"

He laughed slightly and asked me in a good mood, "Why so?"

"Because I shouted and screamed and.." I was too embarrassed to finish the sentence.

He laughed. "It's good that it was me. Otherwise, you would have been reported to the police by someone already."

I was ready to fight, but I couldn't retort back. He was right. I thought of apologizing, but gave up on the idea.

So anyway, today is our date and there's only an hour left before we meet each other. I was excited, nervous and fantasizing. I can fantasize too much, like seriously too much. I already turned my house upside down to find a suitable dress for me.

This one? Nah. Red one? Nope. Too bright. This yellow dress is not bad. No. I don't want to look like a duck. Damn! Don't I even have something to wear?

I searched through everything again and decided to wear the burgundy maxi wrap dress. I wore black high heels and left my apartment for the restaurant.

On my way to the restaurant, the cab halted. I frowned and waited for a few minutes. Seeing no change, I asked, "What's the matter?"

The driver answered while looking at the chaos ahead. "Three cars collided at the crossing. All the roads are blocked now."

I was shocked. I was scared and upset for the people, but suddenly turned into a mess as soon as he called me. I told him everything and sighed.

"It's okay." He said calmly as if trying to soothe me with his gentle voice.
