''Dear diary,
it's been so long since the last time I wrote. Although my summer seems endless, it's almost over. Like our old life. Mom decided that it was time for a fresh start -especially after what I did- and to be honest moving to the most boring small town in Virginia, didn't seem as agood idea. Mystic Falls isn't ideal for us and she is gonna realise it pretty soon. I hope. At least they have great milkshakes.''

Penelope stopped writing and took a sip of her strawberry milkshake. Even though she seemed to enjoy it, she was quite nervous as she was looking at her phone all the time. Realising that her mother was way too late once again for their brunch, didn't make things easier. Her new job at WPKW9 network was keeping her mother -Ivy- busy for many hours. She was just looking for a distraction, something to stop thinking. She had a risky idea on her mind. But that's what Penelope is. A risky, impulsive girl. Without further ado, she looked around just to be sure that no one is looking at her, closed her eyes, murmured some incomprehensible words and then all of a sudden the people at the Town Square started to run panicked, as water gushing from fire hydrants and the Clock Tower was starting to tick out of nowhere. Penelope casually shrugged her shoulders and eyebrows and laughed playfully.

Seconds later, across the square, in front of Mystic Grill a young woman was yelling to a waiter. Apparently, the young man was scared by the clock's sound and as a result he accidently threw a serving tray full of dishes in front of her legs.

-Seriously,Hobbit? Are you blind or what? - Lizzie yelled at him.

-I'm...I'm so sorry Lizzie. This is all my fault. Are you okay? - The young man immediately blushed with embarrassment while people started looking to their side and gossiping to each other. The waiter wished the ground would swallow him up while was trying to gather the broken plates from the ground . But Lizzie was relentless and she continued talking and talking and talking...

-Yo Frodo, why don't you better take your wooden friend and try to clean your mess up faster before I call the store manager? Miss Apr...

That moment a shorter figure appeared by her side. She was a little bit shorter than Lizzie, with dark brown short hair and cute characteristics. She was trying to calm Lizzie down -and save the poor Landon from certain dismissal from his job- as she was pushing her inside the restaurant.

-Hey Landon. Sorry about this. I 'd like to help but...

-It's okay Josie - he interrupted her. Your sister is... your sister - he continued. After all I am almost done. He stood up holding the tray with the last broken pieces.

From the point Penelope was sitting, she hadn't a clear view but something caught her eye. Someone to be perfectly clear.

Josie suddenly, smiled quickly, like she was in a rush, waved her hand, pushed the heavy door of Mystic Grill and disappeared...
