chapter 2 - stuffed duck

I got ready for school and then went downstairs into the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and saw Phelix.

"Hey" I said to Phelix while walking in

He looks at me, then back to his phone, and says "hey you ready?"

"Yea," I replied

"K, we're going to pick up Luke and Aria"

"Ok" I said and went on my phone

Luke and Aria are Phelix's best friends. Luke is like an older brother that I never wanted. Aria is like an older sister to me.

After 5 or 10 minutes we got to Luke's house.

"Hey Phelix, hey ducky," Luke said

Phelix, Luke, and Aria call me ducky or sunny. They call me ducky because when I was little, I loved swimming, and my favorite animal was a duck. I also talked about ducks and how I wanted a pet duck. My name means 'bright' or 'vibrant bright', so they call me sunny because the sun is very bright.

"Hey" I said, looking up from my phone. After 5 minutes we got to Aria's house. She got in the back seat of the car while Luke was in the front passenger seat and Phelix in the driver's seat and me in the back seat behind Phelix.

"Hey, hey ducky" she said

"Hey Ari"

We got to school after 15 minutes, I went to find my friends while Phelix, Luke, and Aria went with the rest of their friends.

"Hey, where's Hannah?" I asked Diego while stopping next to him

"She's not here. She has a doctor's appointment" he replied. "She's be here after lunch," he added

"Oh ok" the bell rang after a few minutes. I open my locker to get my books for class real quick before I go, and there's a note. I didn't even bother opening it. I just sigh and put the not in my pocket than walk to class.

At lunch, Diego and I were sitting at a table waiting for Hannah. We were waiting for 10 minutes, and Hannah was finally here.

"Hey" hanna said

"Hi"

"Hey" Diego said

"Aren't you going to eat something?" Hannah asked, sitting down next to me

"I'm not hungry" I replied

"You sure?" She said

"Yea"

After school, I got in Phelix's car.

"Luke and Aria are coming to hang out, so we're waiting for them" Phelix said

"Ok" I said, and after a few minutes, they got in the car, and then we went home

A minute after Phelix started driving, I zoned out.

I just couldn't stop thinking about the note. What did it say this time? I could name a whole brunch of reasons why Harper and Zoey are right about speed things, like

I'm not pretty

I'm not good enough

I'm not skinny

I'm useless

I'm worthless

I'm a waste of time

I don't belong on this earth

"Sunny"

"Sunny"

"Ducky?"

"Pheobe!" I hear a voice snapping me out of my thoughts
