chapter 7 - dance solo

I'm sitting I my bathroom floor with dried tears running down my face and dried blood going down my wrist from the cuts I just made a little while ago.

I thought everything was getting better but I guess not. Every time I think it getting better it all comes crushing down. No one even notices.

It's Tuesday and it's around 11:00. I get up and get ready for bed. Is it just me or is sleeping the best way to escape your problems.

After I'm done I climb into bed and lay there staring at the ceiling, quietly crying myself to sleep.

The next morning I get up and get ready for school. After I'm done getting ready I go downstairs. Once I get downstairs I ask Phelix if he's ready to go.

"You're not gunna eat anything" he asks

"Nah I'm not hungry" I replied and start walk towards the door

I wait in the car for 2 to 3 minutes until Phelix comes out of the house and gets in the car.

We start driving and we are almost to a Starbucks when Phelix asks if I want anything

"We are almost at a Starbucks are you sure you don't want anything? At least a cookie, cake pop or something?"

I shake my head no and said "no I'm good"

We get to school and get out of the car and start walking towards my friends when I feel a hand grab my arm.

"You better eat at lunch or else ima make you eat at home" Phelix said looking at me concerned

He knows I sometimes purposely don't eat. So he makes sure I do. But my mom doesn't know she's to busy at the hospital working.

I walked towards my friends, who were by their lockers.

"Hey guys" I said

"Hey" Hannah and Diego said

"You coming to dance practice tomorrow?" Hannah asked

"Yea pick you up at 5:00?" I asked

"Yea"

"Hey you guys want to go to one of my friends pary on Saturday?" Diego asked

"Yea sure" Hannah said then her and Diego look at me waiting for an answer

"Sure why not" I said

After school I go to my locker to put my books away and a note fell out when I open it. I read the note and of course it was from Harper and Zoey. I folded it and put it in my packet them walked to Phelix's car.

When I got home I went to my room and ripped the note and threw it away. Then I did homework and watched TV until around 10 pm. I decided to get ready for bed and round 10:30 pm I went to bed.

The next day I went to school and it was the same as usual, hang out with friends, get annoyed by Harper and Zoey, and go to all my boring classes.

How fun

I got home around 3:27 pm and did homework before I had to leave for dance practice. I finished my homework at 3:50 ish. Around 4:30 I got ready for dance and got all my stuff.

I left to Hannah's house at 4:50. Since her house is 5 minutes away it didn't take long to get there. We got to the dance studio at 5:00 exactly.

Damn I'm good at managing time

Yea no I just got lucky, I'm usually very late or very early, never on time tho.

We walk in and we see Cole stretching so we walk up to him.

"Hey cole" Hannah and I say

"Oh hey guys" cole says and we put our stuff down and start stretching

Then our dance coach walks in and we all stand up and face her.

"Ok so next week we have our first competition in a month" she says and we all cheer

"We will have two soloist and a group dance, phoebe and cole will each do a solo" she says be she continues to say "phoebe will do a solo to the song 'train wreck' by James author and cole will do a solo to 'slip' by Elliot Moss, the song for the group dance will be 'recovery' by James author"

We then started working the choreography for the dances. We worked on mine and cole first then then group dance.

After dance I dropped Hannah off at her house then went home. I got home and showered then watched TV until 11 or 12. Then I went to bed.
