While we are very much so human
While we make mistakes and we falter
Sometimes panicked and traumatized
He sees through the tears in our eyes
He sees behind the most clever disguise
But when he looks it is not with disgust
Behind his eyes not fear, doubt, or distrust
For him to be gone, it is not him, but you that must part
But when your eyes open again and you realize what is missing from your heart
He lets you back in
The red cloth white again
A brand new start
He is patient
He is kind
He is strong
He is wise
He wipes the tears from your eyes
He holds your hand
He helps you stand
Because of him, when you are weak you're made strong
With him nothing can go too wrong
When it seems out of control look to the stars
The place they hold
Is set in space
Unyielding
The one to place them knows them each by name each twinkle unshifting
You too he knows personally ready to lift us when life gets disheartening
Creation reveals his glory
We too are part of this story
So when you forget
Look at your fingers, toes, arms, legs, and put your ears to the test
Be really really silent, listen to the rhythmic beat in your chest
You can do this because the one who made the sun, the moon, the, stars
He did not stop with these
He made our body, our mind, our heart
He proves to be
He hears your plea
He will cause to become indefinitely
Never fear you are forgotten
Even when we are downtrodden
His power is so outstretching and his might so large he can hold us all in safety in the middle of disaster he will take charge
The best father, and friend we could ask for dwells up above
And he will always remember you
For he is love
