So you want to cancel black people for being mad
Would it be better if I had went out sad?
If I wept in silence every time a black person died?
Am I not allowed to cry?
If I looked away while they murdered my brothers
If I closed my eyes while they killed my sisters
Would it make it easier for you to not understand what we've been through?
Would you be more comfortable if I chose to not tell you?
Or would it be better if it was me
Being killed by the police
Sorry I said so much but what the fuck stops the killing?
Being peaceful won't work and being quiet does nothing
If I put my hands up or maybe start running
The outcome remains the same
Black people are playing a dangerous game
And we didn't even want any parts
