Rooftop Kloud, Gangnam, Seoul
7:36pm
HoseokHoseok didn't know what he could've possibly done in his past life to deserve being on a date with Y/n, but he wasn't one to start complaining about a good thing.
He honestly forgot that he was sitting in one of Seoul's best rooftop restaurants because he hadn't been able to take his eyes off of Y/n once. He felt ridiculous - she wasn't even doing anything. Literally all she was doing was looking at the menu but Hoseok couldn't look away.
Was this what being in love felt like? If so, he was glad he could experience it with Y/n.
She glanced up and looked at Hoseok to see him looking at her (probably extremely lovingly if he was honest) and she blushed.
"Are you okay with paying?" Y/n asked and Hoseok couldn't help but melt with adoration for the girl right across from him. "It looks kind of expensive..."
Hoseok placed his hand on top of Y/n's in a comforting gesture and smiled at her. "You my dear, are worth every penny."
Y/n's cheeks flushed in record time, and Hoseok decided that his new favourite colour was the shade on her cheeks right now. "I didn't realize when you asked me out how much of a smooth talker you were." She mumbled and Hoseok chuckled.
"There's something about you that makes me want to make you blush." Hoseok admitted and Y/n cocked her eyebrow at him.
"So, you aren't like this with every foreign English teacher you take on dates?" She asked playfully and Hoseok smirked.
"Just the cute ones."

Dinner went by quicker than what Hoseok would've liked, and before he knew it, Hoseok was walking Y/n back to her apartment.
He was nervous. They were walking close together and every now and again, their hands would brush together and it would constantly make Hoseok's heart stop.
He licked his lips constantly and felt his mouth dry and Y/n babbled on about her week, when all of a sudden, Hoseok couldn't take it anymore and grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers.
Y/n stopped what she was saying to look up at Hoseok with wide eyes and he held back a chuckle.
"Is this okay?" He asked, indicating to their two hands. Y/n didn't say anything, all she could do was nod her head. Gosh, Hoseok didn't know why it took him so long to ask her out.
They walked through Seoul and enjoyed the evening together, and before long, they found themselves in front of Y/n's apartment building.
"I don't want tonight to end." Y/n said as she played with Hoseok's fingers, and he smiled.
"Me either." Hoseok responded and pushed a piece of hair that had fallen in her face behind her ear.
"Was this," Y/n started and she paused - almost like she was worried about what she was going to say. "Was this a one time thing?"
She was looking down, and Hoseok genuinely felt like his heart might burst with all the affection he was feeling for this girl.
"I hope not." He whispered as he took the hand that was cupping her ear and tilted her head up so she was looking at him. He smirked when he saw her gulp. "I really want to kiss you, you know." He muttered and watched as she flushed.
"Yeah?" She asked, and she licked her bottom lip and Hoseok's eyes were instantly drawn to stare at them.
"It's all I've thought about, all night." Hoseok muttered as he leaned closer to Y/n, putting out feelers to see if she was wanting it too. Hoseok guessed yes by the way she let out a shaky exhale.
"Then why haven't you done it yet?" Y/n asked and Hoseok was pleased to hear the breathy tone to her words. Good to know that she is as affected by him as he is of her.
"It's called wanting to be a gentleman." He said quietly as he leaned closer to her, but Hoseok damn-near lost it when she licked her lips again. He was tired of waiting for what he wanted - it was time to seize the moment. "But, if that's not what you want, I guess I have no choice."
Before Y/n could even ask what he meant by that, Hoseok was kissing her, and it wasn't long before Y/n's lips started to move slowly along with his.
Hoseok was euphoric - Y/n was overall an addicting person but God, Hoseok couldn't prepare himself for how it would feel to kiss her.
Y/n was soft and warm, and their lips were gliding together so nicely that Hoseok was certain that he'd never be able to not think about kissing her. He brought his other hand to cup the other side of her jaw, in a way to almost make her feel safe against him.
When they eventually pulled away, Hoseok's eyes stayed closed for a few seconds, trying to memorize the feeling of her lips. When he opened his eyes, he was quite pleased to see Y/n looking dazed as well.
"Wow." She whispered out and Hoseok smiled. He lightly pecked her lips again as a way to bid her farewell.
"I'll text you when I get home." He whispered and Y/n nodded as Hoseok pressed his lips against her nose. He was certifiably addicted to kissing Y/n. "See ya, bud."
———
"You said what to her?" Namjoon yelled, making Hoseok shrink back a bit. He had just finished recounting the evening's events to his roommates when Namjoon blew up.
"I kissed her and said 'see ya bud'?" Hoseok said. He was really confused about what was so wrong with what he did.
Namjoon smacked his forehead with his hand, and Yoongi was laughing in the background at the situation.
"Hoseok, I told you to call her babe. Not bud!" Namjoon said, but it didn't clear up Hoseok's confusion.
"Namjoon, you don't understand! Canadians say 'bud' all the time! I've been watching YouTube videos on Canadian slang and they all mention the word 'bud'!" Hoseok defended himself and Namjoon groaned, while Yoongi's laugh grew in volume.
"Hoseok, 'bud' is not a term of endearment." Namjoon explained with exasperation, and Hoseok's eyes widened.
"What are you saying, Namjoon?" Hoseok asked, and his heart was pounding.
"'Bud' is a term used for friends, Hoseok! Not someone you want a relationship with!" Namjoon said and finally, the pieces clicked into place for Hoseok.
Oh God, what has he done?
